The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nimat is defended easily by Gracie. Nimat is looking to clinch. Nimat fails with the takedown. Gracie lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Gaby Nimat has been cut. Gracie rushes Nimat and presses him up against the cage. Gracie stops a takedown attempt from Nimat.
Rerbert Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gaby Nimat. Gracie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gracie closes the distance and clinches. Nimat throws a punch but it's blocked by Gracie. Gracie blocks the elbow strike.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Nimat. Nimat throws a knee to the head but misses.

Gracie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Gracie gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nimat looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Nimat is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie lands strikes from half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gracie is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Nimat is trying to get back to full guard. Gracie tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Nimat.

Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gracie gets to his feet - Nimat follows without any prompting. Nimat darts in trying to clinch and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie. Nimat looking for a sweep. Not yet Nimat, not yet. Nimat is trying to keep Gracie in close.
Nimat looks gassed! Gracie working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nimat's head. Nimat utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gracie connects with a couple of short punches. Gracie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nimat avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gracie tries to stand but Nimat is controlling from the bottom. Nimat not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Nimat might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gracie kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nimat looking for a guillotine here but Gracie defends easily.
Nimat is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gracie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nimat ducks right into an uppercut from Gracie. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gracie lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nimat backs up against the cage.
Nimat is rocked! Gracie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nimat moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nimat is still on wobbly legs! Can Gracie finish him? Gracie closes the distance and clinches. Gracie gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nimat regains guard.
Gracie gets to his feet. Nimat looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Nimat is unconscious as Gracie celebrates over his stricken foe!

Neddles fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tuurivirta, pushing him back against the cage. Neddles has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Tuurivirta is trying to keep an underhook but Neddles manages to get the takedown into half guard. Neddles stands up from half guard. Neddles throws a right and a left that both miss. Neddles clinches with his opponent.

Neddles pushes Tuurivirta back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Tuurivirta tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Neddles smiles and moves away.

and Neddles counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tuurivirta's guard now. Neddles stands up and waves to Tuurivirta to follow him. Neddles closes the distance and clinches up with Tuurivirta, looking for a takedown. Neddles pushes Tuurivirta against the cage but Tuurivirta circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Neddles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tuurivirta misses with a shot to the body and Neddles counters with a shoot takedown. Tuurivirta fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Neddles accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Neddles controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Neddles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Neddles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ninja shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fay sprawls well. Fay wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ninja gets slowly back to his feet. Ninja looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Fay tries to bum rush Ninja with a series of wild strikes but Ninja uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fay throws the kick towards the body but Ninja avoids it. Ninja shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fay defends it nicely. Ninja closes the distance and clinches up with Fay, looking for a takedown. Ninja pushes Fay against the cage but Fay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Ninja. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ninja has a takedown stuffed. Ninja doesn't manage to clinch there - Fay circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fay moves into the clinch. Fay gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ninja won't allow Fay to pass to mount. Fay is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Fay seems to be working for a kimura but Ninja defends the submission attempt. Fay thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Ninja to regain full guard.

Greg Ninja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ninja tries to keep at a distance but Fay has taken the fight into the clinch. Fay pulls guard. Ninja has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Fay to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ninja is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Fay pulls down on the head and he's put Ninja to sleep! This one is all over!

Ryay gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Virne. Virne drives through and clinches with Ryay against the cage.

The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Jesse Jalkalukko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sparraaja attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Sparraaja throws a leg kick and Jalkalukko counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Jalkalukko throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Sparraaja misses with a leg kick and Jalkalukko makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Sparraaja tries to land a leg kick but Jalkalukko saw it coming and moves away.
Sparraaja drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sparraaja swings around for an armbar but Jalkalukko sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sparraaja's guard.
