The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Azavedo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Azavedo takes one to the side of the head.
Gennaro Esposito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Azavedo tries for a takedown but Esposito sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Esposito cracks Azavedo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Azavedo is rocked! Azavedo is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Esposito doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Azavedo crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Azavedo's bad books for that mishap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut lands for Pickering. That snapped Rasa's head back.
Rasa moves into the clinch. Rasa tries to work over Pickering's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Pickering pushes Rasa back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Pickering throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Rasa could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rasa is breathing heavily. Pickering lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Pickering is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Pickering lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rasa backwards. Pickering is leaning against Rasa and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A right hand to the body from Pickering.

Rasa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Pickering dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. A short left from Pickering. Pickering lands a body punch. Pickering lands with a short shot to the head. A right handed body shot lands from Pickering.
Pickering scores with a shoulder strike. Come on Pickering - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Pickering lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Rasa to his knees! Pickering keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Anderson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. One fails in his attempt to clinch. Anderson is looking to counter punch. A jab from Anderson finds it's way through One's defenses. One has closed the distance and engaged Anderson in a clinch.

One should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Anderson digs a right hand into One's ribs. Anderson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Anderson lands with a straight right. One didn't see that one coming. Anderson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ones jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Anderson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. One darts in trying to clinch enabling Anderson to counter with a crisp jab. One moves in looking to clinch but Anderson pushes him off. Anderson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that One can do to turn this around? One tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. One gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Anderson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Anderson keeps the fight on the outside. Anderson is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Anderson lands with an overhand left. Anderson looks to score with a jab to the body but One is just out of range. One slips a jab and a cross from Anderson.

Fare is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Veitayaki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fare manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Fare mounts Veitayaki! Really nice guard pass there! Fare jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Veitayaki is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Veitayaki and Fare has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
