5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, DJ Boom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Faber! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber clinches up against the cage. Boom struggles to land a body shot inside as Faber controls his hands.
Faber on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Boom has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Faber blocking some punches.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Boom. Faber lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Faber has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Boom after a bit of a struggle. Faber displaying some good clinch control by pressing Boom up against the cage. Faber blocking some punches.

Faber lands a left hand that snaps the head of Boom backwards. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Boom. A right hand to the body from Boom.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Boom swings wildly with an uppercut but Faber uses good head movement to avoid it. Boom tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Faber is trying to drag Boom to the mat but Boom just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Faber is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Faber has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Boom is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. DJ Boom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Faber. Faber displaying some good clinch control by pressing Boom up against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that DJ Boom will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Boom cracks Faber with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Boom connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Boom bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Faber's head backwards.
Faber is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boom misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Faber.
Faber is still on wobbly legs! Can Boom finish him? Boom throws a shot from downtown. Faber moves away and avoids it. Faber moves out of range of the strikes. Faber ducks under a wild hook from Boom. Faber seems to have recovered his senses. Faber pushes Boom up against the cage in a clinch. Boom breaks from the clinch.
Faber tries to clinch but fails miserably and Boom counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Boom fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Faber to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Faber looks to clinch but Boom throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Faber taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Dog Iii thows a leg kick but Houston checks it and Houston counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dog Iii misses with a straight left. Dog Iii missing with a left hand there. Houston was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dog Iii throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Houston stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A looping hook to the body misses from Houston. Dog Iii does a little dance to reset his feet. Dog Iii stuns Houston with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Houston, right into the meat.

A low kick from Dog Iii lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Houston has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Houston and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Houston swings and misses with a shot to the body enabling Dog Iii to counter with a crisp jab. Houston takes one to the side of the head.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Houston might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Dog Iii has got the better of the exchanges. Dog Iii scores with a hook to the body. Houston takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dog Iii's corner calls for a 1-2. Dog Iii obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Houston throws a predictable looking body shot

Houston has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Dog Iii. Houston throws a hook to the side of Dog Iii's head but Dog Iii sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Houston takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. You can see that Houston has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks Houston pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dog Iii's face. Dog Iii staggers backwards, shaken. Houston lands a nice looking body shot.
Dog Iii throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Houston. Houston will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Dog Iii counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A big right from Dog Iii misses. Houston throws a body shot but no joy. It looked like Dog Iii wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grunwaldzki cracks MacAuliffe with a good jab. Grunwaldzki throws the kick towards the body but MacAuliffe avoids it. Grunwaldzki gets in close and instigates a clinch. Grunwaldzki misses with a shot to the kidneys.

MacAuliffe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Baeddan MacAuliffe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grunwaldzki feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to MacAuliffe's calf. An inside leg kick lands from Grunwaldzki. A telegraphed takedown attempt from MacAuliffe is defended easily by Grunwaldzki. MacAuliffe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grunwaldzki as he jumps to the side. Grunwaldzki looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Grunwaldzki moves away from the strike by MacAuliffe. Grunwaldzki throws out a counter right but MacAuliffe avoids it with no problem. Artur Grunwaldzki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Grunwaldzki jabbing away but nothing is landing. Nice shot by Grunwaldzki. MacAuliffe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grunwaldzki circles away quickly and effectively. Grunwaldzki unleashes a big counter combination but MacAuliffe bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Grunwaldzki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Grunwaldzki pulls MacAuliffe in close to his closed guard and prevents MacAuliffe from doing any damage or advancing position. MacAuliffe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Grunwaldzki works some decent striking defense from the bottom. MacAuliffe wants to control from the top but Grunwaldzki keeps moving. MacAuliffe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as MacAuliffe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. MacAuliffe trying to control the position from guard on top but Grunwaldzki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. MacAuliffe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Grunwaldzki has control of MacAuliffe's left arm, preventing MacAuliffe from doing any damage. MacAuliffe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. MacAuliffe trying to control the position from guard on top but Grunwaldzki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grunwaldzki is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

MacAuliffe goes for a double leg but Grunwaldzki avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Grunwaldzki continues to drive forward. Grunwaldzki is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Grunwaldzki scores with a leg kick.
Grunwaldzki stuns MacAuliffe with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. MacAuliffe shoots and misses letting Grunwaldzki counter with a right hand. MacAuliffe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. MacAuliffe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
MacAuliffe takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Grunwaldzki connects with a body shot that sends MacAuliffe's belly button to the back. MacAuliffe throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A little jabbing left from Grunwaldzki on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Grunwaldzki, as that shot connected.
MacAuliffe misses with an uppercut. Grunwaldzki saw that one coming. MacAuliffe waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Grunwaldzki. MacAuliffe throws a series of punches but Grunwaldzki moves out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A solid leg kick lands there for Grunwaldzki.
MacAuliffe has been working on his balance at The Factory, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Grunwaldzki. Baeddan MacAuliffe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. MacAuliffe doesn't succeed with the takedown and Grunwaldzki counters with a stiff right hand. MacAuliffe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Grunwaldzki.

MacAuliffe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Grunwaldzki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. MacAuliffe is breathing heavily. A left and a right from Grunwaldzki both land. Nice combination.
MacAuliffe is rocked! No luck with that takedown attempt from MacAuliffe. Oh MacAuliffe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Grunwaldzki drops MacAuliffe with a straight right hand, right on the button! Grunwaldzki follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

A head punch blocked on the inside by Stahlhandske. Archer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stahlhandske scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Archer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stahlhandske moves away. Archer misses with a takedown attempt - Stahlhandske sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A little jabbing left from Stahlhandske on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Stahlhandske walks into a jab. Stahlhandske lands a lovely overhand right. Stahlhandske lands the left hand. Stahlhandske will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Simpson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Simpson manages to kick Rack off! Rack jumps back into Simpson's guard. Simpson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Simpson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
