4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Songswat Watana! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watana blocks a jab. Watana uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Taranin. Taranin lands a right hook to the body.
Watana fails in his attempt to clinch. Taranin takes a swing at Watana's ribcage but misses. Taranin misses with a wild combination.
Songswat Watana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taranin misses with a straight right. Despite the aggression on Watana's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Watana closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Taranin to the mat! Taranin manages to get full guard. Watana tries to free his leg and advance position but Taranin is retaining full guard. Watana looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Taranin wants to sweep here but Watana controlling him for the moment. Watana is posturing up here but Taranin has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Watana tries to roll out but it's too tight and Watana has to tap! Slick submission there by Taranin!

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lance Heras! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Heras crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Munk - the referee stops the clock and Heras gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Munk. Heras manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Munk shoots in but no luck this time. Heras darts in and clinches Munk up against the ropes. Heras effectively controlling the action here. Heras is trying to break the clinch but Munk has him pressed against the ropes. Munk throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Heras trying to land knees to the body.
Munk is trying to pull guard but Heras has him pressed against the ropes. Munk blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heras scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Munk has been working on his balance at Cozad MMA Tokyo, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Heras. Heras goes for a double leg but Munk avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Munk continues to drive forward. Munk scores with a kick to the body.
Munk stuns Heras with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. This has been an exciting period of action! A looping hook to the body misses from Munk. Heras does a little dance to reset his feet. Heras follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Heras looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Heras defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for CP Munk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Heras forces Munk back against the ropes and clinches. Heras tries to circle away but Munk has him pinned against the ropes. Heras tries to circle away but Munk has him pinned against the ropes. Munk landing knees to the body.
Munk tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Heras just stands there and leans against the ropes. Munk misses with the head strike.
Munk throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Heras blocks it with crossed arms. Heras is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Heras manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heras tries to score a power double leg takedown but Munk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Heras somewhat. Munk feints a jab promting Heras to slip. Munk then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Heras slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Heras uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Munk.

Munk scores with a spinning back kick! Munk takes the fight into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Heras tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Munk avoids it. Munk misses with a punch to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Munk is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Heras is defending well for now. Munk lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Munk lands a nice uppercut. Heras wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Munk tries to land knees in the clinch but Heras avoids the damage to the body. Munk is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Heras is keeping busy. Heras blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Heras pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Heras misses the body punch and Munk counters with a one-two to the body. Heras closes the distance and pushes Munk back into the ropes.

Munk working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Munk has a couple of punches blocked by Heras.
Munk is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Heras tries to land a knee to the head but Munk blocks with his arms.
Munk tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Munk is working for takedown but Heras is calmly controlling the position for now. Munk pressing his opponent against the ropes. Heras's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A combination from Heras does no damage. Heras throws a sloppy head kick enabling Munk to counter with a crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heras shoots in looking for a takedown but Munk manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Heras's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A punch combination from Munk misses. Munk closes the distance and pushes Heras back into the ropes. Munk tries to land knees in the clinch but Heras avoids the damage to the body. Munk pushes Heras back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. Munk doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Munk keeps control of Heras as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Munk wants to take the fight to the mat but Heras manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Heras blocks a body shot from Munk. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Munk creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heras wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Munk has him pressed against the ropes. Munk can't find room to land a body shot as Heras controls the action.

Heras takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Munk is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Heras off and has taken his back! Munk throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Munk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Munk misses with punches from the back. CP Munk is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Munk slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Heras manages to reverse the position and now he's in Munk's guard. Nice work there by Heras.
Heras won't allow Munk to sweep him here. Heras is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Munk is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Munk has escaped and now he's on top!
Lance Heras has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Munk is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that's the end of the fight! CP Munk showed his dominance in that final round. Well Munk has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pollock throws a low kick but Toshiyuki moves out of range easily. Toshiyuki smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Toshiyuki tries to clinch there but Pollock circles away.

This has been an exciting period of action! Pollock is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pollock's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Toshiyuki with a nice cross. Pollock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Toshiyuki clinches up against the ropes. Toshiyuki scores with a shoulder strike. Pollock changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Toshiyuki fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Tanishi Toshiyuki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abarai gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Abarai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tyson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tyson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tyson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Yoko Honda had his way with Rio Sadewo in that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Oh, it looks like he might have it! Honda has picked Sadewo up and slammed him! Sadewo can't keep hold of the triangle and Honda manages to pass to side control!

Sadewo is trying to get back to full guard. Honda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sadewo keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Honda not landing any meaningful shots this time. Yoko Honda is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Honda is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sadewo sees it coming and defends easily. Honda thows a huge punch but Sadewo dodges it nicely.
Rio Sadewo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sadewo tries to roll over but Honda keeps him under control. Sadewo moves into full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Honda wants to control from the top but Sadewo keeps moving.
