0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jam Lasica! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Khai Sius! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lasica throws a front kick aimed at Sius's knee but Sius avoids it well. Lasica shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Sius kicks off Lasica and gets to his feet. Lasica moves into the clinch successfully.
Lasica pushes Sius back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Nice body punch from Lasica. Lasica throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Lasica makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sius wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lasica has him pressed against the cage. We've been informed that Sius has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A frustrated look appears on Sius's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lasica lands with a short shot to the head.

Lasica keeps control of Sius as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Lasica lands with a short shot to the head. Lasica scores with a nice hook to the head. A short left from Lasica. Lasica digs a right hand underneath Sius's ribcage. Sius let out a lung full of air as it connected. Lasica is leaning against Sius and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Lasica lands a shoulder strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lasica scores with an uppercut up the middle. Lasica lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sius. Lasica stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
The referee is keeping an eye on Lasica - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Lasica really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lasica lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sius backwards. Lasica's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lasica fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sius, pushing him back against the cage. Lasica softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Lasica scores with a shoulder strike. Lasica breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lasica misses with a takedown attempt - Sius sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Lasica with that takedown attempt. The crowd cheers as Lasica lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sius doesn't seem phased though. Lasica looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jam Lasica. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lasica will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sius unleashes a big counter combination but Lasica bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lasica rushes Sius and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lasica lands a shoulder strike. A short right hand to the side of the head by Lasica. The referee is keeping an eye on Lasica - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Lasica. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Lasica for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Sius's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Lasica breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lasica gets in close and instigates a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jam Lasica dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lasica lands with a good body shot. Lasica tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sius defends well and Lasica ends up having to push Sius into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Despite the aggression on Sius's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Lasica fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sius avoids it really well and circles away. Lasica fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jam Lasica. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lasica. Sius changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lasica will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lasica shoots in for a takedown but Sius shows good takedown defense. As Lasica backs off Sius throws a huge counter combo but Lasica manages to avoid it all. Lasica fails with a takedown attempt. Lasica throws out a loose jab but Sius uses good head movement to avoid it. Lasica looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sius is fending him off so far but Lasica persists. Nope, Sius circles away and we're back to standing. Horrible takedown attempt by Lasica or perhaps it was just good defense by Sius, which made it look bad. Sius tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lasica lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Sius's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lasica throws a right and a left that Sius avoids nicely. Lasica wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lasica throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A left and a right from Lasica both land. Nice combination.
Sius is rocked! Lasica closes the distance looking for a takedown. Lasica picks Sius up and slams him brutally to the floor. Sius is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!

Jam Lasica decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Saitou is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well. Saitou looks winded! Saitou is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position. Silva is concentrating on defense, preventing Saitou from advancing position. Saitou is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Saitou to get the leverage. Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Saitou is working away from the top position though. Saitou is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silva sees it coming and defends easily. We've been hearing good reports from Silva's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Saitou is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Saitou lands some shots froms side control. Saitou tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Saitou throws a strike aimed at the side of Silva's head but Silva avoids it well. Silva holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Saitou tries to move to mount but Silva blocks the move with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Saitou tries to score with some ground and pound. Silva controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Silva can't do much from the bottom here. Silva defending against the ground and pound. Saitou tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Saitou has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Silva throws Saitou to one side and escapes! Silva closes the distance and pushes Saitou back into the cage. Silva gets control of Saitou's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Saitou cracks Silva with a solid left hand. Saitou loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Saitou showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Saitou makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Anderson Silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Saitou has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Saitou lands a left hand that snaps the head of Silva backwards. Saitou is trying to break the clinch but Silva has him pressed against the cage. Saitou gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Silva regains guard.
Silva manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Saitou tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
Anderson Silva has scored more points in the clinch so far. Saitou jumps guard but Silva stands there with Saitou around his waist. Saitou gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Silva has clasped his hands together around Saitou's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Saitou explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Takeshi Saitou has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Anderson Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Saitou dives in for a single leg takedown but Silva sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Silva appears to be looking for a big counter.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Anderson Silva. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Takeyama tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but NoMono paws at him with a jab and circles away. NoMono waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Takeyama. Takeyama wants to clinch up but NoMono keeps it at a distance. It looked like NoMono wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. NoMono circles away from the clinch attempt.

Takeyama darts in trying to clinch and NoMono counters with a crisp right hand that drops Takeyama! NoMono lets Takeyama back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shojo slips a straight right by Falcon. Shojo jabbing away but nothing is landing. It looked like Falcon was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Shojo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Falcon.
Shojo throws a counter combo. No luck for Falcon with that takedown attempt. Shojo missing with a left hand there. Falcon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Falcon throws a right hand that misses
and Shojo counters with a straight right hand. Falcon misses the shot to the body. Falcon has his takedown stuffed and Shojo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Shojo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Falcon with a hook. Crunch! Shojo slams his shin into Falcon's torso. Shojo closes the distance and clinches. This has been an exciting period of action! Shojo gets through Falcon's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Shojo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shojo clinches with his opponent.
Falcon tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shojo lands a nice shot to the body. A nice right hand lands inside from Shojo.
Falcon is rocked! A short right from Shojo. Oh Falcon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Shojo dips a shoulder and cracks Falcon with a mighty uppercut! Falcon falls back against the cage and Shojo unloads with a barrage of strikes! Falcon is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Shojo screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yauch cracks Kupa with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kupa looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Yauch finish him?
Kupa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Yauch engages and cracks Kupa with a massive lead left hook - Kupa tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Yauch is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DiCaprio dives in for a single leg takedown but Khalidh sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A decent looking cross lands there for Khalidh. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Khalidh is defended easily by DiCaprio. DiCaprio dives in and scores a takedown into Khalidh's guard. DiCaprio distracts Khalidh with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. DiCaprio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. DiCaprio loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Khalidh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DiCaprio drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and DiCaprio jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DiCaprio preventing the sweep. DiCaprio drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. DiCaprio seems to have locked his on tight now - Khalidh screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for DiCaprio, as he picks up the win!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A good leg kick by Chaos. Bulger takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like John Bulger has been cut. Chaos connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Bulger tries to move into range but Chaos moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Bulger is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Chaos's half guard. Chaos has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Bulger is on him like a limpet, forcing Chaos back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chaos breaks from the clinch.

Chaos throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Bulger is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Larios is rocked! Larios drops his hands momentarily. Matsumoto doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Larios staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Larios doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
