2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mick Carter! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter leaves Andonov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Andonov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Andonov is trying to work for a kimura but Carter is defending well.
Carter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Carter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Andonov is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andonov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Andonov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Andonov stalling. Carter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Andonov pulls his head out easily. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Andonov. Our spies down at at Rabid Dog inform us that Carter has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Andonov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carter wants to control but Andonov is keeping busy and won't allow it. Andonov is figuring out what he wants to do next. Andonov tries to pass to full mount but Carter defends it. Carter is pressing down on Andonov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Andonov is working Carter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Andonov here at all. Carter dives in for a single leg takedown but Andonov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Andonov darts in looking for a takedown but Carter gets double underhooks and turns Andonov into the cage. Carter is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Andonov is staying active underneath Carter, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Carter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Carter is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Andonov holds on to Carter around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.

Carter sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Carter is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Andonov has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Andonov tries to hold on but Carter pushes him away. Andonov sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Andonov actively working from the bottom here. This has been an exciting period of action! Carter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Andonov's head.

Carter trying to control the action but Andonov is working from the bottom. Carter content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Andonov throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carter is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Andonov is trying to escape and Carter transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Andonov is forced to tap! Nice work there by Carter! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hairsten fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sonnen, pushing him back against the cage. Hairsten gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sonnen.

It looks like Chael Sonnen has been cut. Hairsten lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Hairsten's coach down at Highland CT & Spar was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hairsten's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Hairsten lands an elbow inside. Hairsten lands a body punch in the clinch. Hairsten's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hairsten circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Sonnen drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Hairsten follows Sonnen to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fonseca walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Lee throws a head kick that misses. Fonseca lands a jab. Lee's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lee's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Fonseca throws a good cross that connects.
Lee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Fonseca, right into the meat.

Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Fonseca counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Lee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Lee throws a lazy head kick and Fonseca cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters circle momentarily. Fonseca darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Fonseca moves out of range easily. Fonseca half committed to a counter leg kick. Fonseca really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fonseca lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A head kick from Lee lands but Fonseca takes it in his stride. Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Fonseca counters with a straight right hand. Usman Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Fonseca went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Lee has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fonseca finds it's way round the side to connect with Lee's head. Fonseca lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Lee is rocked! Lee's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fonseca connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lee scrambles back to his feet. Lee is still on wobbly legs! Can Fonseca finish him? Lee shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fonseca feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lee sprawling to the canvas! Lee rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Fonseca finish him?!
Felix Fonseca is winning the standup battle so far. Fonseca moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off. Lee is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Fonseca is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lee can do to turn this around? Lee on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Lee misses with the body kick and Fonseca counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lee throws a head kick but Fonseca moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee leaves his chin hanging out and Fonseca seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Lee crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Somakandarkram misses with a head kick.
As Somakandarkram backs off Bayless throws a huge counter combo but Somakandarkram manages to avoid it all. Bayless throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Bayless uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Somakandarkram lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Somakandarkram lands a big head kick that sends Bayless tumbling to the mat! Somakandarkram takes a step backwards and waves Bayless back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Bayless is rocked!
It looks like Skip Bayless has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Somakandarkram drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Bayless is still on wobbly legs! Can Somakandarkram finish him? Somakandarkram tries to land a body kick and Bayless counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Bayless seems to have recovered his senses. Somakandarkram takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Bayless looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Bayless!
Bayless lands a two punch combo.
Bayless throws a right hand that Somakandarkram ducks under and follows up with a left that Somakandarkram also avoids with ease. Bayless misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Somakandarkram definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bayless misses with a leg kick and Somakandarkram counters with a head kick that drops Bayless to the mat! Bayless scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Somakandarkram dodges the punch combination from Bayless.
Somakandarkram thumps Bayless with a low kick. Bayless rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Somakandarkram moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bayless just manages to avoid a counter high kick from Somakandarkram. Somakandarkram thumps Bayless with a low kick. Somakandarkram throws a lazy head kick and Bayless counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Skip Bayless seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some bone on bone action there as Somakandarkram checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Bayless displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bayless throws a half hearted mid kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bayless tries to land a front kick but Somakandarkram steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A jab from Bayless does it's job there. Bayless scores with a three punch combo!
Bayless throws a left and a right that both miss
and Somakandarkram counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Bayless! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meese lands with a shot to the body. Clarke fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Meese lands a nice shot that snaps Clarke's head back.
It looks like Mitch Clarke has been cut. Meese has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Clarke closes the distance and clinches up with Meese, looking for a takedown. Clarke pushes Meese against the cage but Meese circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Meese lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Meese drops Clarke with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Clarke looks back up at him and smiles so Meese waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Clarke is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A shot to the liver by Meese. Beautiful body shot. Oh Clarke is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Meese lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Clarke out cold! Clarke is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Georges Meese! Georges Meese decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bagatin throws a one two combo.
It looks like Vitaly Dunaytsev has been cut. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bagatin.
Dunaytsev takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Bagatin avoids the body shot from Dunaytsev.
Bagatin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bagatin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Dunaytsev in his tracks. Dunaytsev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bagatin closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Dunaytsev is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bagatin ducks under a wild hook from Dunaytsev. Oh Dunaytsev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! An inside leg kick lands from Bagatin. Dunaytsev misses with a wild body shot. Dunaytsev seems to have got his legs back now. Dunaytsev finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Bagatin's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Dunaytsev falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steel wants it to stay on the feet. Steel lands with a cross. Richards Iii clinches up against the cage. Richards Iii throws a head punch that misses. Steel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Richards Iii misses with a punch to the body.
Steel is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Richards Iii pulls him back up using the underhooks. Steel is looking for a takedown. Steel tries for a takedown but Richards Iii manages to get underhooks.

Steel wants to pass the guard but Richards Iii is keeping the position. Richards Iii has control of Steel's left arm, preventing Steel from doing any damage. Richards Iii lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Steel is looking to sweep but instead, Richards Iii has passed into half guard.
Richards Iii thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Steel's head. Steel is in trouble now - Richards Iii has advanced to mount! Richards Iii postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Steel looks a forlorn figure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Richards Iii connects with a massive shot to the dome!
