Riggs scores with a leg kick.
Riggs looks to throw the jab but Backlund is out of range.
Backlund slips under a jab from Riggs.
Backlund fires out a quick counter leg kick but Riggs just manages to avoid it.
Riggs looks to score with a jab to the body but Backlund is just out of range.
Backlund has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Riggs's coach down at THC playhouse was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Riggs's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Good leg kick by Riggs there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Riggs fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Backlund.
Riggs looks to score with a jab to the body but Backlund is just out of range.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

As Riggs looks to move away, Backlund throws a big counter combo but Riggs just gets out of the way.

Riggs lands a big right hand that sends Backlund crashing to the mat! Riggs stays standing though and waves Backlund back to his feet!

Backlund switches off momentarily and Riggs cracks him with a monster right hand! Backlund topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Riggs dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Riggs!

Heinz Doofenshmirtz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Doofenshmirtz.
Leatherwood drops down looking for a counter takedown but Doofenshmirtz sprawls and moves away.

Sloppy strikes from Jordan. Those never looked like landing.
Harris keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jordan.
Jordan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jordan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jordan is looking to chop away at Harris's legs.
A big right from Jordan misses.
Jordan misses the shot to the body.
Jordan works the jab nicely.
Harris tries to close the distance and clinch but Jordan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jordan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harris was well out of range. Poor timing from Jordan.
Harris cracks Jordan with a good jab.
Jordan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Harris ducks right into an uppercut from Jordan.
Harris is looking to clinch but Jordan is avoiding it.
Jordan throws an overhand right that lands on Harris's shoulder, as Harris tries to avoid the shot.
Harris scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jordan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Jordan checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Harris slips a straight right by Jordan.
Harris feinted with a counter takedown.
Harris misses with a double jab.
Harris on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jordan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jordan works Harris's body with a nice hook.
Harris just misses with a punch to the body.

Jordan has picked Harris up - he's going for a ride! Jordan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Harris blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jordan.
Harris tries to roll over but Jordan keeps him under control.
Jordan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Harris with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jordan lands with a shot to the body.
Jordan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jordan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jordan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
