0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jerry Cantrell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eduardo Cedeno! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cantrell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cedeno swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cedeno throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Cedeno!
Cedeno scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
 It looks like Jerry Cantrell has been cut. Cantrell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cedeno's waist but Cedeno gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cantrell off to one side. Cedeno is looking for the big counter here. We've been told by Cantrell's head coaches at Cozad The Island that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Cedeno will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cedeno throws a series of punches but Cantrell avoids them all with ease. Cantrell throws a poor cross that misses
and Cedeno counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Cantrell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cedeno throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Cantrell throws a head kick that misses and Cedeno counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Cantrell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
 Cantrell is rocked! Jerry Cantrell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cedeno takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Cantrell tries to clinch up but Cedeno circles away and keeps his distance. Cantrell scores with a head kick. Cedeno tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Cantrell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cedeno swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cedeno appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Cedeno shoots in for a takedown but Cantrell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cedeno misses with a few strikes there.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Cantrell. Those never looked like landing. Cantrell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cedeno.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cedeno keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cantrell. Despite the aggression on Cedeno's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Cantrell swinging wildly here.

A punch lands to the side of Cantrell 's head but he takes it in his stride. We've been informed that Cedeno has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Cedeno avoids a punch combination nicely.

Horrible takedown attempt by Cedeno or perhaps it was just good defense by Cantrell, which made it look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cedeno shoots for a takedown but Cantrell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jerry Cantrell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Cantrell feints and then cracks Cedeno's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cedeno down. Cantrell has his takedown stuffed and Cedeno counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Yinlong gets a takedown into half guard. Mord tries to get to full guard but Yinlong has control of the leg. Yinlong is looking to take a break and control but Mord is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Yinlong seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yinlong is trying to control the action in half guard but Mord is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mord controlling the position well.

 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mord shoots in but Yinlong avoids the takedown attempt easily. Yinlong drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mord defends it well.

That was a close round but I would say that Rala Mord will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Yinlong is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Mord avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

He's got hold of a leg but Kolivanov swivels and escapes. Campion shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kolivanov as he avoids it easily. Kolivanov stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Campion. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Campion. Kolivanov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kolivanov wants it to stay on the feet. A little jabbing left from Kolivanov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Kolivanov pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Campion tries to clinch up but Kolivanov circles away and keeps his distance. Campion doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Kolivanov counter with a right hand.

Campion has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kolivanov keeping moving, preventing Campion from controlling successfully. Campion controls from within his opponent's guard. Kolivanov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Campion landing some decent shots from guard. Campion prevents Kolivanov from getting back to his feet.

Campion landing with the ground and pound. Campion is pushing down on Kolivanov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kolivanov is fighting to maintain full guard but Campion has managed to sneak the leg through. Campion is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tate fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tate shoots in for a takedown but Kunz shows good takedown defense. Kunz wants to counter with a clinch but Tate pushes him away. Tate tries for a takedown but Kunz circles away easily and Kunz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miesha Tate. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tate shoots and misses letting Kunz counter with a right hand. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tate. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kunz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Kunz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
