Nunes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jury's guard.
Jury on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jury tries to get out of the position.

That was a close round but I would say that George Bile will probably get the nod.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verhoeven throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sammy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Verhoeven lands a nice hook to Sammy's body. Sammy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Verhoeven comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Verhoeven works Sammy's body with a nice hook.
Verhoeven uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Verhoeven steps in with a hook that catches Sammy right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Verhoeven follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Sammy looks absolutely devastated.
