The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stepp throws a right and a left that Alvarez avoids nicely.

Alvarez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stepp is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Stepp sneaks back into half guard.
Stepp has his hands clasped together around Alvarez's back. He's all about the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Alvarez lands a nice short elbow.

Sanchez throws a chopping leg kick but Burns manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A bone on bone clash there as Sanchez blocks the leg kick.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burns as he avoids it easily.
Sanchez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bert Drago had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He's out cold! Zigaman gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Datsik moves away.
Nice jab there from Hawk.
Datsik steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hawk.
Hawk ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Good work by Datsik as he checks the leg kick.
Datsik throws a push kick but Hawk slaps the foot to one side.
A left lands for Hawk.

It looks like Dante Datsik has been cut.
Datsik throws a jab when Hawk was well out of range.
Hawk throws a leg kick that is checked
and Datsik counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hawk thinking.
Datsik tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hawk connects with a looping right hand.
Datsik on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hawk has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Vendetta Alliance London Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Hawk avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Hawk swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And Datsik tries to counter it with a takedown but Hawk pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Hawk misses with an uppercut. Datsik saw that one coming.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Datsik, right into the meat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Datsik slips a straight right by Hawk.
Hawk tests Datsik's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Datsik is rocked!
Hawk steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Datsik is out on his feet! Hawk sets himself and nearly takes Datsik's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
