Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between The Stig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brick Tamland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tamland has chosen Afternoon Delight as his entrance music. The Stig had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Brick Tamland enters the cage!

19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brick Tamland! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stig checks the leg kick nicely there.
Tamland with a nice cross. Stig seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Tamland misses with a low kick as Stig jumps back. Tamland throws a quick inside leg kick. Tamland keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stig. Stig chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tamland can pounce on him.
Stig thuds a left hand into Tamland's body. Tamland moves away from the strike by Stig. Stig on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tamland. Tamland obviously looking to wear him down.
Stig lands with a cross. Brick Tamland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slow jab from Tamland misses its intended target. Tamland throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stig cracks the inside of Tamland's front leg.

A good leg kick by Stig. Tamland lands with a hook. Stig tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. We've been informed that Tamland has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Tamland misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stig.
Tamland tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stig sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tamland somewhat. Stig misses with a low kick.

Tamland tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stig scores with a punch to the head. Tamland tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stig swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tamland throws a low kick but Stig avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Tamland. Stig does a little dance to reset his feet. Tamland throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A slow jab from Stig misses its intended target. Tamland lands a right hook to the body.

Tamland shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stig's guard.
Stig has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Tamland is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Tamland tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Stig avoids it. Tamland jumps guard but Stig turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. The Stig has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brick Tamland. Stig tries to stall but Tamland uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Tamland lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stig backwards. Tamland tries to circle away but Stig has him pinned against the cage. Stig fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Tamland staying out of range there. This has been an exciting period of action! Stig takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Stig slips under a jab from Tamland. A bone on bone clash there as Stig blocks the leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Tamland darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Tamland will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tamland fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stig avoids it really well and circles away. Stig lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tamland's sensitive parts. Stig lands a jab to the head.
Stig feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tamland's calf. Stig looks to throw the jab but Tamland is out of range. Tamland lands with a good body shot. Tamland fails in his attempt to clinch.

A head kick by Tamland misses and Stig counters with a body kick that stops Tamland in his tracks momentarily. Tamland misses the shot to the body. A kick lands to the mid section there for Tamland. A punch lands to the side of Stig 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Tamland closes the distance and clinches. Stig lands a right hand. Still in the clinch, Stig scores with a nice short uppercut.

Stig throws a hook to the side of Tamland's head but Tamland sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Stig tries to work over Tamland's front leg with a kick but Tamland checks it. Tamland gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stig. Tamland bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A punch lands to the side of Stig 's head but he takes it in his stride. A jab lands there for Tamland. Stig throws an overhand right that lands on Tamland's shoulder, as Tamland tries to avoid the shot. Tamland fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Tamland stuns Stig with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Stig gets tackled into the cage by Tamland. Tamland maintains the clinch. Brick Tamland is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Tamland jumps guard and drags Stig to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Tamland is trying to hold Stig in close to prevent damage but Stig has managed to pass into half guard.

Beijer is working away from the top position though. Beijer wants to take a breather but Shavershian is having none of it.

Beijer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Beijer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shavershian with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ground and pound from Beijer. Shavershian wants to control but Beijer is keeping busy and won't allow it. Beijer winds up and cracks Shavershian with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Falcao needs to keep his hands up - Morgan had a free shot at his head there. Morgan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Falcao can pounce on him.

Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Blackmore. Lynn throws a right and a left that Blackmore avoids nicely. Blackmore looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Blackmore throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lynn sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lynn has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Blackmore is landing a low percentage of strikes. Lynn lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lynn. Lynn fails to land with a series of punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Deegan with the ground and pound but Machado uses the opportunity to regain guard. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Machado is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

23 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyoji Horiguchi! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horiguchi throws the kick towards the body but Wonha avoids it.
Horiguchi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wonha on his heels. He'll look to pass Wonha's guard now, I'm sure. Wonha looking for a sweep. Not yet Wonha, not yet. Wonha utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Horiguchi with a flurry of punches that miss. Wonha avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Horiguchi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Horiguchi wants to control from the top but Wonha keeps moving. Wonha appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Kyoji Horiguchi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horiguchi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Horiguchi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wonha.

Nelson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
