2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Babis Valyras! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valyras shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and ez counters by moving into the clinch. ez gets underhooks to prevent Valyras's takedown attempt.
Valyras looks winded! ez just leaning against Valyras, taking a breather. ez decides to pull guard. Valyras got a little sloppy there for a moment and ez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Valyras has managed to get both his arms back between ez's legs - danger averted. ez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Valyras is one step ahead there. ez is working hard here to advance position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valyras drops back looking for a leg! ez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and ez manages to kick Valyras off! Valyras jumps back into ez's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. ez controls Valyras momentarily but Valyras frees himself. ez working for a triangle but Valyras defends it easily.
ez is trying to control the position but Valyras postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Valyras wants to pass the guard but ez is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. ez is trying to keep Valyras in close.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Valyras moves in looking to clinch but ez pushes him off. Valyras tries to score a power double leg takedown but ez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Valyras somewhat. Valyras has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as ez is landing a low percentage of strikes. McDiaz ez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Babis Valyras.
That's three minutes gone in the round. ez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Valyras paws at him with a jab and circles away. ez stuffs the takedown attempt from Valyras. Valyras gets slowly back to his feet. ez is looking to clinch but Valyras is avoiding it.
Valyras drops down looking to force a counter takedown but ez defends it well. ez rushes Valyras and presses him up against the cage. ez is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Valyras is keeping busy. ez is trying to maintain a safe position but Valyras gets an underhook and turns ez into the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Valyras has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by ez after a bit of a struggle. ez tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Valyras is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. ez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Valyras misses with a hook from the clinch. ez manages to break the clinch.
ez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Valyras defends well and ez ends up having to push Valyras into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Valyras throws a fast counter high kick but ez manages to duck under it in time. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from ez. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! ez fails with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
McDiaz ez dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Valyras stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Valyras wants it to stay on the feet. Valyras shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with ez but ez pushes him off and we're back to square one. ez wants to clinch up but Valyras keeps it at a distance. ez with a lazy takedown attempt and Valyras counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Valyras shoots in looking for a takedown but ez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Valyras's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. ez lands with a slapping head kick. Valyras dives in and grabs ez's left leg, looking for a takedown. ez pushes down on Valyras's head and hops out. McDiaz ez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Babis Valyras. ez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Valyras avoids it really well and circles away. Valyras is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. ez gets a takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. ez is trying to control. Valyras wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. ez is trying to work for a kimura but Valyras is defending well.
ez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Valyras can do to turn this around? ez is keen to just control but Valyras is a slippery customer. ez uses his free foot to push down on Valyras's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Valyras.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Valyras has given up his back here.
ez has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Valyras has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

ez lands with a hammerfist to the side of Valyras's head. ez biding his time, controlling Valyras.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valyras is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if ez gets his way!
Will ez go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
McDiaz ez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Valyras tries to break free.
ez is looking to control Valyras but Valyras is wriggling around and keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Valyras wants to escape the position.

ez dives in for a single leg takedown but Valyras sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Valyras takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from ez. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for McDiaz ez. That's going to take a lot out of him. A low kick from Valyras is predictable there and ez counters with a three punch combo that has Valyras backing up. Valyras nods at ez to acknowledge the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valyras throws the kick towards the body but ez avoids it. ez shoots for a double leg takedown but Valyras sprawls well. He's pushed ez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Valyras misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. ez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
ez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. ez misses with a takedown attempt - Valyras sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Valyras gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. ez trying to control the position but instead, Valyras has worked for underhooks and has pushed ez into the cage. ez wants to break free but Valyras has control.
ez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. ez checks a low kick from Valyras. ez shoots for a takedown but Valyras saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. ez sets himself, and Valyras steps forward looking for the clinch! ez avoids it this time. Valyras misses with a body kick. ez has a takedown stuffed. Valyras fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but ez avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Valyras enables ez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Valyras manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Valyras is wriggling around but ez manages to pass to half guard.
ez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Valyras doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time ez. ez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. ez slows the pace down in half guard. Valyras is staying active underneath ez, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Valyras looks like he's trying to stand up.
Babis Valyras has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McDiaz ez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. ez wants to control but Valyras is keeping him busy.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to McDiaz ez. Well I reckon that's a shut out for ez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elf walks into a left hand. Robredo throws a right and a left that both miss. Elf on the wrong end of a nice hook. Robredo clinches up against the cage. Robredo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Elf jumps guard and drags Robredo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Robredo stopping the sweep attempt from Elf. Robredo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Elf manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Robredo manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elf is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Elf postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Robredo is trying to control the position but Elf postures up. Elf trying to control but Robredo is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robredo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Elf makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Elf is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Robredo has momentary wrist control but Elf slips an elbow through the middle. Robredo wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Elf is now in half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Elf lands a nice short elbow. Robredo wants to control but Elf is keeping busy.
Elf is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elf lands strikes from half guard. Elf seems to be working for a kimura but Robredo defends the submission attempt. Robredo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Elf on the ground. Robredo tries to roll over but Elf keeps him under control. Elf wants to work for an arm triangle but Robredo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Robredo is looking to get back to full guard here but Elf has managed to pass to side control instead. Robredo struggling a bit here. Robredo is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elf cracks Robredo with an elbow. That is naaassty. Robredo wants to control but Elf postures up. Elf in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Robredo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Elf's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Elf! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Robredo has tapped! This one is allllll over!

McAdams gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mason counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mason. McAdams avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mason chips away with some ground and pound. McAdams is looking to cinch up a triangle. Mason throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to McAdams's body to avoid the submission. McAdams has instead reached around Mason's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! McAdams arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kevin McAdams! Kevin McAdams decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Haas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ward's hands. Ward looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Haas is fending him off so far but Ward persists. Nope, Haas circles away and we're back to standing. Ward shoots in but no luck this time. Dahl Haas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Ward. Ward takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Haas has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Ward shoots in for a takedown but Haas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A counter left hand to the body from Haas misses its target. Haas swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ward. Haas misses with a hook. Ward ducked under it nicely. Haas misses with an uppercut. Ward saw that one coming. Ward has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ward there as he acknowledges the shot. Ward gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ward is rocked! Haas lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Ward head around and knocks him out cold! Haas hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dahl Haas! A very excited looking Dahl Haas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Revishvili tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nurmagomedov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nurmagomedov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Revishvili is trying to defend but Nurmagomedov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Nurmagomedov scoring with strikes to the body and head. Nurmagomedov moves into full mount! Revishvili won't be happy about that! Nurmagomedov scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Revishvili?

Nurmagomedov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Revishvili looks a forlorn figure.
Revishvili is still in real trouble! Can Nurmagomedov finish him? Nurmagomedov unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Revishvili wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Nurmagomedov celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

After the fight, Khabib Nurmagomedov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Ferrell tries to clinch up. Ferrell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Friend could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Friend looking for a sweep. Not yet Friend, not yet. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tymoshenko , right into the meat.
Ingram has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tymoshenko finds it's way round the side to connect with Ingram's head. Tymoshenko misses with an uppercut. Ingram throws a series of punches but Tymoshenko avoids them all with ease. Ingram drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Tymoshenko takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Ingram scores with a jab. A bone on bone clash there as Tymoshenko blocks the leg kick.

Ingram rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tymoshenko finish him?!
Ingram is rocked! It looks like Ingram has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Ingram leaves his chin hanging out and Tymoshenko seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Ingram crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vasily Tymoshenko ! Vasily Tymoshenko spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrucci thows a left - swing and a miss! Petrucci throws a body shot but no joy. Universe went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Petrucci misses with a series of wild punches.
