The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ohmsford takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Hardy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ohmsford at a distance.

Ohmsford tries for a takedown but Hardy circles away easily and Hardy counters with a nice uppercut. Ohmsford's coach down at Elite Burn was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ohmsford's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Hardy moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hardy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ohmsford closes the distance but Hardy moves to the side and Hardy counters with a stiff right hand.

Hardy tries to bum rush Ohmsford with a series of wild strikes but Ohmsford uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tatum looks to land a left hand but Puno moved out of range nicely. It seemed like Puno was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Tatum needs to keep his hands up - Puno had a free shot at his head there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Puno lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tatum has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tatum and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Tatum scores with the left hand. Puno knows he should have avoided that one. Tatum misses the shot to the body. Tatum throws a lazy right hand but Puno sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Puno throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Tatum might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Puno uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tatum.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

And that's the end of the fight! Andreus Puno comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Puno has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Smith creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Smith using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Gilas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smith pulls his leg out and moves away.

Donk. Smith catches Gilas right on the button with a cross. Smith plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! The fighters circle, before Smith throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Gilas's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Smith lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mon Ami walks forward, straight into a front kick from Wood. Mon Ami shoots for a takedown but Wood saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mon Ami walks into a stiff left hand from Wood. Wood throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Mon Ami cracks Wood with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Thor Wood has been cut. A leg kick checked by Mon Ami. Mon Ami throws the kick towards the body but Wood avoids it. Wood dips to his left and cracks Mon Ami with an uppercut! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmer scores with a nice head shot. North really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. North misses with a head kick.
Palmer shoots in but no luck this time. North appears to be looking for a big counter. North tries to move into range but Palmer moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. North tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Palmer drops down looking to force a counter takedown but North defends it well. Palmer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for North! North tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Palmer slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Both fighters are looking very determined. Palmer working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. North tries to roll but Palmer sticks to his back.
Palmer is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Even with his hooks in, Palmer manages to miss with strikes from the back. Palmer tries to get the hooks in deep but North pushed the leg off.

North has been working on his balance at He Man Women Haters Club, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Palmer. Palmer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract North. George North is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. North moves out of range of the strikes. Palmer doesn't succeed with the takedown and North counters with a flying knee. Nice. Palmer lunges at North with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by North's hand. Palmer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Palmer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. North looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. North tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Palmer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Palmer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down North's shoulder. That is not cool.

Palmer seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Palmer wants to lay and pray for a moment but North keeps working. Palmer controlling the action here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Palmer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but North moves away. Palmer scores with a nice strike. Palmer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. North rushes Palmer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Palmer lands on the inside with an uppercut. Palmer tries a body shot but North blocks it.

Palmer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but North pulls his head out easily. North wants to stand up but Palmer is controlling the position.
Palmer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. North is working away from the top position though. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nogueira connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Krejzi Kure seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nogueira scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kure takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kure looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nogueira takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kure has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Nogueira rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Nogueira is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kure is controlling him. Nogueira scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Kure swings and misses with a shot to the body and Nogueira connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kure feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nogueiras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Nogueira gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kure to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kure stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nogueira swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nogueira is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kure presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nogueira lands a body punch in the clinch. Nogueira stalling in the clinch.

Kure seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kure is nestled in close to Nogueira, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Nogueira wants to get back to his feet. Kure has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nogueira has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Kure is on him like a limpet, forcing Nogueira back against the cage. Nogueira throws an elbow but it misses.
Kure lands a body punch in the clinch. Kure goes for a takedown attempt but Nogueira pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Chuck Nogueira will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Sloppy strikes from Kure. Those never looked like landing. A telegraphed right hand from Kure misses the target. A solid leg kick lands there for Kure.

Nogueira throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kure stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Nogueira walks into a jab. Nogueira throws a hook to the side of Kure's head but Kure sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kure feints the counter takedown. Nogueira takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nogueira ducks under a wild hook from Kure. Kure moves out of range of the strikes. Nogueira lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kure moves to clinch but Nogueira breaks away and Nogueira counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Nogueira misses with a wild body shot. Force has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Forcefield Ludas in the buildup to the fight. Tynkkynen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Force sees it coming and avoids it easily.
