I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gar Goyle was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gar Goyle! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dall is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Goyle. Dall misses with a hook. Goyle has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Dall is landing a low percentage of strikes. Dall tries to work over Goyle's front leg with a kick but Goyle checks it. Goyle looks to land a combination. Dall sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Goyle takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Gar Goyle has been cut. A combination from Goyle does no damage. Goyle displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Methyrr Dall has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sloppy strikes from Goyle. Those never looked like landing. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Goyle!

Dall misses with a hook. Goyle ducked under it nicely. Goyle looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Goyle lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Goyle checks a low kick from Dall. Goyle throws a right hand that Dall ducks under and follows up with a left that Dall also avoids with ease. Goyle lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Dall showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Goyle.
A nice combination there by Goyle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goyle connects with a body shot. Goyle throws out a loose jab but Dall uses good head movement to avoid it. Dall tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Goyle is able to avoid easily. Dall takes a swing at Goyle's ribcage but misses. Goyle throws a right and a left that Dall avoids nicely. Goyle misses with a two punch combination.

and Dall counters with a nice double leg into guard. Goyle wants to get back to his feet but Dall is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dall trying to control the position from guard on top but Goyle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dall stops Goyle from standing up. Dall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Goyle is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goyle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dall is controlling him. Dall drops back looking for a leg! Goyle is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Goyle manages to kick Dall off! Dall jumps back into Goyle's guard. Dall wants to pass the guard but Goyle is keeping the position. Goyle is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dall dives into side control.
Dall tries to advance to mount but Goyle denies him. Goyle wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dall is trying to get an arm triangle but Goyle is defending well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Goyle wants to get back to his feet but Dall is dominant here and he's now got Goyle's back!

This could be all over! Goyle refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Goyle's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mouth changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Myers tries to avoid it but Mouth manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Myers to the ground. Myers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Myers is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Myers cracks Mouth with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Myers misses with a double jab
and Mouth counters with a takedown into side control. Myers is looking for a sweep. Mouth is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Myers has escaped the position, nice work there. Myers is looking to regain half guard here but Mouth keeps moving and retains side control. Myers manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Myers trying to control the action but Mouth is working from the bottom. Mouth is pressing down on Myers's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mouth looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Mouth pulls Myers in close to prevent any damage. Myers tries to free his leg and advance position but Mouth is retaining full guard. Myers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Myers connects with a nice looking jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Myers lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mouth has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mouth and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mouth is trying hard to land a takedown here. Myers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Myers throws a wild body kick that Mouth sees coming a mile off. Myers throws a lazy uppercut
and Mouth counters with a takedown into side control. Myers is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mouth is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Myers slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Mouth stands up out of the half guard. Mouth pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Myers thows a left - swing and a miss! Myers does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Mouth throwing a counter right hand but Myers manages to avoid it. Mouth needs to keep his hands up - Myers had a free shot at his head there. Myers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Myers lands a nice shot that snaps Mouth's head back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Myers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Myers throws out a loose jab but Mouth uses good head movement to avoid it. Dee walks into a left hand. Dee misses with a straight right. Boson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dee's head backwards. Boson throws an overhand right that lands on Dee's shoulder, as Dee tries to avoid the shot. Dee misses the jab. Dee misses with a looping right. Boson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dee back to the cage. Boson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Dee waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Boson. Boson throws an overhand right that lands on Dee's shoulder, as Dee tries to avoid the shot. Dee sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Dee cracks Boson with a right hand to the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boson swinging wildly here.

Boson thows a leg kick but Dee checks it and Dee counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Boson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Boson avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Dee throws a hook but Boson blocks it. A little jabbing left from Boson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A combination from Dee does no damage. Boson throws a counter combo. Dee moves out of range of the body kick from Boson.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Boson throwing strikes but missing. Boson throws a big right hand that misses. Boson pushing down on Dee's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Boson winds up and cracks Dee with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Boson fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Boson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. As Dee backs off Boson throws a huge counter combo but Dee manages to avoid it all. Dee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Boson has him pressed against the cage. Higgs Boson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
