The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grip fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Yeager fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grip sprawls well initially but Yeager persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Grip is staying active underneath Yeager, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Drilon is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Smiff dives into side control.

Smiff cracks Drilon with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Drilon flails away from the bottom, looking to strike but he's give an arm to his opponent... uh oh. Smiff wraps up the arm in an instant and pivots for an armbar! Tap or snap time - Drilon decides to tap! Lovely submission by Smiff!

Moi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Moi throws a leg kick but Khalab sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Abdul Khalab seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Khalab feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Moi sprawling to the canvas! Moi rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Khalab finish him?!

Khalab pounces like a tiger and cracks Moi with a vicious hook! Moi is down but not out! Khalab follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
