0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Geowanny Velasco! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Magnum fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Velasco, pushing him back against the cage. Magnum jumps guard and drags Velasco to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Magnum is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Velasco is aware though and is defending well. Velasco postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Magnum trying to control the position here. Magnum's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Velasco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magnum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Magnum keeping moving, preventing Velasco from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Magnum is looking to stand up but Velasco isn't so interested in that idea. Magnum preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Velasco must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Velasco works over Magnum with some ground and pound from guard. Velasco throws a big right hand that misses.

Horrible takedown by Magnum or perhaps it was just good defense by Velasco which made him look bad. Geowanny Velasco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Velasco tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Velasco scores with a takedown into Magnum's guard. Magnum pushes a forearm under Velasco's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Velasco is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

It looks like John Marshall has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marshall shoots in and drives through. Quintero sprawls well. Oh Marshall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Quintero throws a jab when Marshall was well out of range. Marshall seems to have got his legs back now. Marshall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Marshall throwing strikes but missing. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Omaly drops back, looking for a kneebar! Crocop looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Crocop looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Crocop! Omaly gets back to half guard. Omaly looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eli Barden! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matthews shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barden as he avoids it easily. Barden lands a nice looking body shot.
A left lands for Barden. Barden moves into range and connects with a jab. Barden lands with an overhand left.
Matthews is rocked! Barden is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Matthews flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Matthews is out cold! Barden holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
