The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Horrible takedown attempt by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Meier, which made it look bad. Brown fails with the takedown. Meier tries to counter with a clinch but Brown shakes him off and moves away. Brown tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Meier manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
