The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cojo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Cojo tries for a kimura but Mot is defending well. Mot manages to get back to half guard. Cojo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mot is just riding it out for now. Cojo eventually gives up the hold. Cojo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cojo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mot has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are battling for position here. Mot manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cojo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mot trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Cojo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cojo looks gassed!

Cojo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mot manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cojo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Cojo is still in real trouble! Can Mot finish him? Mot scoring with punches to the head and body. Mot landing with the ground and pound. Mot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mot connects with a couple of short punches. Mot lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mot postures up and lands a big shot to Cojo's brow. Mot forces his way into half guard. Cojo seems to have recovered his senses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mot is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Mot working Cojo over with strikes. Cojo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mot is nestled in close to Cojo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mot will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The two fighters exchange a few words. Mot connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cojo. Cojo circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mot has closed the distance and engaged Cojo in a clinch.

Cojo seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Mot shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Cojo is backing up but Mot catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Cojo covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Mot Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inglewood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Charcoal circles away quickly and effectively. Charcoal scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Inglewood tries to clinch there but Charcoal circles away.
Charcoal takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A looping hook to the body misses from Charcoal. Inglewood does a little dance to reset his feet. Inglewood moves in looking to clinch but Charcoal pushes him off. Charcoal ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Inglewood tries a low kick but Charcoal avoids it. Jab, jab by Charcoal - just one landing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Charcoal decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Charcoal working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Inglewood's thigh. Inglewood counters though and makes it back to full guard. Charcoal trying to control the position from guard on top but Inglewood is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Inglewood wants to get up but he can't break Charcoal's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Charcoal has his hands on Inglewood's head, controlling the position. Inglewood is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Inglewood wants to stand but Charcoal has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Inglewood scores with a kick to the midsection. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Charcoal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Inglewood ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Inglewood throws a right and a left that both miss. Inglewood lands a two punch combo.

A decent looking cross lands there for Charcoal.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sensei throws a lazy right hand but TheMan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sensei missing with a left hand there. TheMan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. TheMan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sensei moves out of range and avoids them all easily. TheMan fails with the takedown. TheMan defending well as Sensei loads up on a big left hand. TheMan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sensei.

TheMan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. TheMan throws and elbow that misses. Sensei uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in TheMan's guard. Nice move by Sensei! TheMan controlling Sensei's posture. Sensei trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
