Sax fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Slade does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Slade throws a front kick aimed at Hunter's knee but Hunter avoids it well.

Slade wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Light closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Light works to advance to full mount. Toney defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Toney is trying to reverse the position but instead Light has taken his back - oops!

Light is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Toney is really stuck here.
Light lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Light has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Light is working for a rear naked choke. Toney is not defending it well and Light has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Toney refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Toney's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
