Undercard bout

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Royce Gracie had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reynolds drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gracie looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Reynolds stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Reynolds closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Perez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bost's guard.

Bost manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Perez manages to get himself to full guard.

Bost has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Perez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt is looking to slow Drogo down with leg kicks.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Schmidt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Drogo doesn't seem bothered though.
Schmidt buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Drogo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Schmidt as he jumps to the side.

Drogo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Schmidt sprawls well. Schmidt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Drogo gets slowly back to his feet.
