The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesmono closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lesmono works his way into side control. Lesmono decides to stand back up. Lesmono's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lesmono's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Stewert throws a right and a left that Lesmono avoids nicely. Jackson Stewert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stewert misses with a few strikes there.
Lesmono moves into the clinch. Stewert could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lesmono pulls Stewert into guard.
Stewert content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Lesmono has locked up a guillotine! Lesmono's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Stewert is holding on here and Lesmono must be using up a lot of energy. Stewert has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Lesmono gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tomasello darts in and clinches Monni up against the cage. Monni lands a nice elbow from the clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, Monni throws an elbow but misses. Tomasello has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Monni regains guard immediately. Monni knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tomasello on the ground. Tomasello working some strikes from top position. Tomasello working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Tomasello landing some decent shots from guard. Monni is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tomasello loads up on a big left hand. Monni felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Tomasello looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Monni can't hide his disappointment, as Tomasello celebrates the victory.
