The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suihkija scores with a one two! Christianson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Buliwyf Christianson has been cut. Good standup being displayed there by Suihkija as he connects with a hook. Suihkija throws a right and a left that Christianson avoids nicely. Christianson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Suihkija defends well and Christianson ends up having to push Suihkija into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Christianson shoots for a double leg takedown but Suihkija sprawls well. He's pushed Christianson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Christianson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Suihkija is on him like a limpet, forcing Christianson back against the cage. Christianson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mambo throws a body kick despite being completely out of range enabling Tucker to counter with a crisp jab. Tucker throws a big shot that misses. Mambo fails in his attempt to clinch. Tucker let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Tucker keeps the fight on the outside. Tucker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Dos Santos has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Maanpohja in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Maanpohja working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Maanpohja tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dos Santos sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Maanpohja not landing any meaningful shots this time. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Maanpohja working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Maanpohja is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dos Santos defends it well. Maanpohja has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Maanpohja looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Freedom misses the shot to the body. Freedom walks forward, straight into a front kick from Walker. Walker throws a wild body kick that Freedom sees coming a mile off. Freedom scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Walker lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Freedom fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Walker, pushing him back against the cage. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Freedom and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Walker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Freedom connects with a crisp jab. Freedom has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Walker. Walker moves out of range of the body kick. Walker moves out of range as Freedom strikes. Freedom moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A decent looking body kick lands there for Walker. A chopping leg kick lands by Walker. Walker lands a jab to Freedom's midsection. Shane Walker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A bone on bone clash there as Walker blocks the leg kick.
