Ahmad scores with a takedown into Banner's guard.

Banner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ahmad gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ahmad drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Banner manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ahmad has Banner in his guard.

Ahmad uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Ahmad closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Kyznetsov throws a pinpoint strike between Nielson's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Nielson crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Kyznetsov scores a great knockout victory!

Smith drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.

Smith is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva wanted to stand there but Smith had control of the position.
Smith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Smith wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
