Smith lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Chris Smith has been cut.
Smith throws a right hand that Sin ducks under and follows up with a left that Sin also avoids with ease.

Sin pounces like a tiger and cracks Smith with a vicious hook! Smith is down but not out! Sin follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montez shoots for a takedown but Osterman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Osterman connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Klay Montez has been cut.

Montez on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Osterman feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Montezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've been informed that Montez has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Osterman throws an overhand right that lands on Montez's shoulder, as Montez tries to avoid the shot.
Montez tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Montez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kevin Osterman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klay Montez.

Montez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Osterman finds it's way round the side to connect with Montez's head.

Osterman bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Osterman smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Osterman throws out a powerful jab.

Montez is rocked!

That has opened up Klay Montez's cut even more.
Montez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Osterman.
We've been told by Osterman's head coaches at LOD - Slaughterhouse that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Osterman sends Montez crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Osterman is motioning to the referee to let Montez up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Montez is still on wobbly legs! Can Osterman finish him?

Montez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Osterman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Osterman wriggles free and stands up.
Montez seems to have recovered his senses.
Montez fails with a takedown attempt.
Montez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Osterman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Montez somewhat.

Montez moves away from the strike by Osterman.
Montez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Osterman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Montez throws a counter combo.
Montez tries to land a body kick
and Osterman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Osterman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Osterman scores with a nice head shot.
Osterman throws a hook but Montez avoids it easily.
And Montez tries to counter it with a takedown but Osterman pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Osterman catches Montez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Montez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Montez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Osterman throws out the jab.
Osterman ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Osterman lands a jab to the head.

The cut above Klay Montez's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

and Osterman counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Montez! He's just covering up as Osterman starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
