6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonardon Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jukka Jokela! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jokela darts in looking for a takedown but Garcia gets double underhooks and turns Jokela into the cage. Garcia looks to throw the jab but Jokela is out of range. Jukka Jokela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garcia throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jokela shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Garcia as he jumps to the side. Jokela closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Garcia manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Jokela keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Garcia working some nice short punches in the clinch. Jokela is struggling to control the position. Jokela tries to circle away but Garcia has him pinned against the cage. Jokela keeps control of Garcia as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jokela has clasped his hands together around Garcia's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Garcia can't do much from the bottom here. Jokela trying to control the action but Garcia is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia wants to control but Jokela postures up. Garcia prevents Jokela from moving into mount. You can see the frustration on Garcia's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Garcia is not content to let Jokela control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jokela working away. Garcia gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Garcia wants to get back to full guard. Garcia is trying to maintain the position but Jokela is very close to passing his half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia misses with a left hand and Jokela counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jokela shoots in but Garcia avoids the takedown attempt easily. Leonardon Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jukka Jokela. Jokela looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jokela tries to free his leg and advance position but Garcia is retaining full guard. Jokela sitting in guard here, content to control. Jokela shoots for a double leg takedown but Garcia sprawls well. He's pushed Jokela's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Leonardon Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jukka Jokela. Jokela with a poor takedown and Garcia counters with a nice uppercut. Garcia throws a nice looking combination but Jokela bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Garcia is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jokela can do to turn this around? Jokela darts in looking for a takedown but Garcia gets double underhooks and turns Jokela into the cage. Garcia tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jokela tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Garcia defends well and Jokela ends up having to push Garcia into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jokela shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Garcia defends it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcia lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. No luck for Jokela with that takedown attempt. Jukka Jokela is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia throws a half hearted mid kick. Garcia works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Jokela misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Garcia slaps away a takedown attempt from Jokela, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jokela takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jokela closes the distance and clinches up with Garcia, looking for a takedown. Jokela pushes Garcia against the cage but Garcia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Garcia is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Garcia throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Jokela uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Garcia. Jokela throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Garcia's waist but Garcia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jokela off to one side. Jokela fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jokela feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jokela stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garcia swivels though and keeps the full guard. Garcia pulls Jokela in close to prevent any damage. Jokela is looking to pass into half guard but Garcia pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Garcia is in guard. Garcia slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jokela manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Garcia manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jokela trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Garcia is adopting a defensive guard. Garcia looking to control.
Garcia is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jokela controlling the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's going to take a lot out of Jukka Jokela. Jokela closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Garcia quickly recovers to half guard. Garcia kicks off Jokela and gets to his feet. Garcia throws a body punch but Jokela moves out of range. Nice cross by Garcia. This has been an exciting period of action! Jokela closes this distance looking for a takedown but Garcia circles away. Jokela ducks under a wild hook from Garcia. Jokela has a takedown stuffed. It looks like Garcia has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Garcia tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jokela gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garcia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Garcia fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jokela looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Garcia tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Garcia lands with a right hand. Jokela displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Garcia throws out the jab. Jokela tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Garcia defends well and Jokela ends up having to push Garcia into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jokela fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Garcia avoids it really well and circles away. Garcia tests Jokela's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Garcia is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Jokela darts in looking for a takedown but Garcia gets double underhooks and turns Jokela into the cage. Jokela uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garcia.
Garcia looks to score with a jab to the body but Jokela is just out of range. Garcia throws out a loose jab but Jokela uses good head movement to avoid it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Garcia swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Jokela shoots in for a double leg but Garcia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jokela doesn't succeed with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia slaps away a takedown attempt from Jokela, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jokela avoids the body shot from Garcia.
Jokela shoots in and drives through. Garcia sprawls well. Leonardon Garcia is winning the standup battle so far. Jokela avoids the head kick by Garcia.
Garcia connects with a high kick. Jokela goes for a double leg but Garcia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Garcia continues to drive forward. Jokela takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Garcia looks to throw a body kick so Jokela counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jokela looking to sit in guard and control but Garcia gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Garcia stands up from Jokela's guard - Garcia perhaps looking for a knockout. Garcia misses with a kick to the body and Jokela counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Jokela perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jokela is thwarting Garcia's attempts to control the position. Jokela is looking to take a break and control but Garcia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Garcia wants to control but Jokela is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jukka Jokela has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Garcia trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
And that's the end of the fight! Leonardon Garcia showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garcia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Smiff scores with a nice hook to the head. Smiff just leaning against Truck, taking a breather. Smiff avoids the elbow strike from Truck, against the cage.

Silva throws a head kick that misses. Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Boy sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Silva fails with the takedown. Boy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Boy finishes the takedown easily into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boy can do anything to dispel that myth. Boy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Let's hope that Boy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Boy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boy has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle. Silva wants to control from the top but Boy keeps moving. Boy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard. Boy lands a couple of digs.

Boy has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Physical Training Sparring Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Boy works over Silva with some ground and pound from guard. Boy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boy has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted. Silva is trying to keep Boy in close.

Boy postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Silva covers up, he's hurt! Boy keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Boy and the ref steps in to end the fight! Boy can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Jumping up and down and very excited, Troy Boy waved his t-shirt featuring FinnFighter Nutrition (Five 160Q supps!)'s logo in front of the cameras. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McPetteri throws a solid leg kick but Fernandez takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McPetteri. Fernandez misses the shot to the body. McPetteri stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McPetteri wants it to stay on the feet. Good leg kick by McPetteri there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McPetteri takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A looping hook to the body misses from Fernandez. McPetteri does a little dance to reset his feet. Fernandez connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. McPetteri scores with a nice body kick.

That had to hurt Rendulic. Rendulic throws a hook but Uchiha blocks it. Uchiha lands a nice shot that snaps Rendulic's head back.

Nope, Uchiha circles away and we're back to standing. Uchiha lands a leg kick that knocks Rendulic off balance momentarily. Rendulic tries for a takedown but Uchiha circles away easily and Uchiha counters by clinching up. Uchiha lands a right hand that snaps the head of Rendulic backwards. Rendulic tries for a takedown but Uchiha manages to get underhooks.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rendulic missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rendulic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Uchiha circles away quickly and effectively. Uchiha uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rendulic. Rendulic backing away here, and Uchiha unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Sasuke Uchiha seems to be getting the better of the standup. No joy there for Rendulic, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rendulic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Uchiha moves away. Rendulic is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Uchiha's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Rendulic with a poor takedown and Uchiha connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Uchiha connects with a leg kick. Rendulic looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Rendulic looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Uchiha dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Uchiha connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Rendulic takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Rendulic takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. This has been an exciting period of action! Uchiha throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rendulic's head. and Uchiha counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rendulic's knee momentarily. Rendulic takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Uchiha pushes Rendulic away with a front kick. Uchiha lands with a thumping leg kick.
Uchiha bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Uchiha clinches. Uchiha tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Uchiha scores with a hook to the body. Uchiha gets through Rendulic's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Uchiha throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rendulics head. Rocky Rendulic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rendulic being controlled against the cage. Rendulic's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Sasuke Uchiha is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Uchiha misses with a hook to the ribs.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dawson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Dawson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tan.
Dawson's coach down at Barbell Brigade - $800 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dawson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Dawson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Dawson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tan throws out the jab.
