Mawad is looking to clinch.
Mawad is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Wooten moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Return fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sauve manages to avoid it.
Return takes a swing at Sauve's ribcage but misses.
Sauve swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Sauve plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Sauve throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Sauve misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sauve's jab looks to have found its range, popping Return under the eye.
Return misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Sauve cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Return needs to keep his hands up - Sauve had a free shot at his head there.
A punch combination from Sauve misses.
Sauve avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Return looks to land a combination but Sauve avoids it well.
Sauve throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Return's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sauve displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Sauve lands a jab to the head.
Return loads up on a big right hand but Sauve slips the punch.
Return misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sauve.

Return swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Sauve throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sauve keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Sauve scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sauve tries to work over Return's front leg with a kick but Return checks it.
Return is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Return takes a kick to the side of the head.

Return looks to score with a jab to the body but Sauve is just out of range.
Return is still on wobbly legs! Can Sauve finish him?
A jab from Sauve does it's job there.
Return walks into a stiff left hand from Sauve.
Return connects with a body shot.
Sauve throws an overhand right that drops Return like a sack of potatoes! Sauve dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Power moves into the clinch.
Power takes a knee to the side of the body.

Rob's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Power closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Power fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rob working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Power jumps guard.
Power keeping moving, preventing Rob from controlling successfully.
Rob scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Rob keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Power's head.
Rob cracks Power with a solid left hand.
Power trying to control the position.
Rob works over Power with some ground and pound from guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Power has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rob is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Power.
Power taking punishment in the form of punches.
Power is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rob connects with a decent elbow.
Power tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rob wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Rob in side control lands a decent elbow.
Power throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Rob tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Rob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Power sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Rob lands strikes from half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rob is thwarting Power's attempts to control the position.
Rob seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Power on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Power is pressing down on Rob's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Rob is sitting in close to Power's body. Power has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Rob is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Rob is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Power.
