The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biron lands an overhand right.
Nice takedown defense from Biron. No joy for Grena on that attempt.
Biron unleashes a big counter combination but Grena bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Grena fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Biron, pushing him back against the ropes.
Grena prevents the takedown attempt.

Grena breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Grena feints and as Biron raises his hands in defense, Grena changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Castilho pushes off an throws an elbow but Blake leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Castilho's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Castilho tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Castilho is trying hard to land a takedown here. Blake sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Blake throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Castilho doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Blake throws a low kick but Castilho avoids it.
Blake lands a nice leg kick that just misses Castilho's sensitive parts.

Blake misses with a hook to the ribs.
Castilho lands a hook that snaps the head of Blake backwards.
Castilho throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Castilho breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Castilho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blake, pushing him back against the ropes.

Castilho pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Blake throws a wild body kick that Castilho sees coming a mile off.
Jab, jab by Blake - just one landing.
Castilho takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A low kick from Castilho is predictable there
and Blake counters with a nice kick to the body.

and Blake counters with a huge left! Castilho is in big trouble! He's backing up but Blake isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Castilho from any more damage. A dominating finish by Blake!

Davison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blaze sprawls well. Blaze wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Davison gets slowly back to his feet.

Blaze has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Blaze moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Davison goes down! Can Blaze finish him!?

Chris Davison's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Davison controls Blaze momentarily but Blaze frees himself.
Oh Davison is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Blaze drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blaze jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Blaze is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Davison seems to have got his legs back now.
Blaze missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

and Blaze counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Blaze throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Blaze scores with a hook to the body. Davison takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Davison walks straight into a right hand from Blaze - that's dropped him! Blaze jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Davison from any more punishment! Davison complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

A less than humble Johnny Blaze misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
