The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Small misses with a two punch combination.

Everett Small seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sloppy strikes from Small. Those never looked like landing. Gregory tries to close the distance and clinch but Small swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gregory lands a body shot.

Small looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Small has a closed guard, preventing Gregory from standing up. Small is looking for a triangle but Gregory pushes his legs off easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clark closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Asteroidbelt did well to prevent Clark getting side control. Clark lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clark is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Clark seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Asteroidbelt definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Asteroidbelt trying to hold on to Clark's head to control him but Clark postures up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Clark connects with a nice short shot to Asteroidbelt's temple. Clark looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clark is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Clark with the ground and pound from mount. Clark tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Asteroidbelt bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Asteroidbelt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Nice takedown defense from Clark. No joy for Asteroidbelt on that attempt. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barksalot misses with a hook. xx ducked under it nicely. Barksalot throws a head kick that half lands.
