Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ginga Hagane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ginga Hagane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruno Thunder! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thunder tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hagane swivels and escapes. Hagane tries to close the distance and clinch but Thunder swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hagane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hagane rushes Thunder and presses him up against the cage. Thunder goes for a takedown attempt but Hagane pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hagane throws an overhand right that lands on Thunder's shoulder, as Thunder tries to avoid the shot. Thunder throws a counter combo. Hagane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Thunder. Ginga Hagane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Thunder. Thunder wants to clinch up but Hagane keeps it at a distance. Hagane misses with a lunging right hand
and Thunder counters with a stiff right hand. Donk. Hagane catches Thunder right on the button with a cross. Thunder misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hagane doesn't manage to clinch there - Thunder circles away.
Hagane has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bonsai Club MMA in the buildup to the fight. Hagane is looking to clinch but Thunder is avoiding it.

Thunder dives in for a single leg takedown but Hagane sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hagane looks to land a right hand but Thunder moved out of range. Thunder is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Nice shot lands for Hagane. Thunder takes the fight into the clinch. Hagane is defending well against a takedown attempt. Thunder throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Hagane lands a right hand. Thunder prevents a body shot from Hagane. Thunder fails to pull guard.

Thunder is trying to pull guard but Hagane turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Thunder breaks from the clinch.
Thunder fails with a takedown attempt. Hagane leaves Thunder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hagane tries to clinch but Thunder moves out of range. Ginga Hagane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thunder takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hagane throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ginga Hagane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hagane looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Thunder tries for a takedown but Hagane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Thunder slips under a jab from Hagane. This has been an exciting period of action! Hagane misses with a hook
and Thunder counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hagane thinking. Hagane cracks Thunder with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Hagane is breathing heavily. Hagane lands with a hook. Thunder tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Thunder lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Thunder closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hagane kicks Thunder off and gets back to his feet. Thunder closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hagane circles away. Hagane throws a low kick but Thunder moves out of range easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hagane throws a chopping leg kick but Thunder manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Thunder scores with a leg kick.
Thunder fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hagane has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hagane loads up on a big right hand but Thunder slips the punch. Hagane lands with a nice combination. Thunder backs away looking to recover. Thunder tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hagane defends well and Thunder ends up having to push Hagane into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Hagane tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Thunder has a takedown stuffed. Hagane pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hagane throws a right hand that misses
and Thunder counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A big left from Hagane misses. Thunder lands a high kick!
Thunder keeps the fight on the outside. Thunder moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hagane throws a knee to the head but misses.
Thunder is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hagane to keep the fight standing. Hagane misses with the head strike.
Thunder tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hagane just stands there and leans against the cage. Thunder goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hagane prevents it.
Hagane misses with a hook from the clinch. Thunder breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for Thunder with that takedown attempt. Hagane tries to clinch but Thunder is having none of it. Thunder shoots for a double leg takedown but Hagane sprawls well. He's pushed Thunder's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Thunder on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hagane tries a head kick but it misses.
Hagane throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ginga Hagane dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Thunder takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ginga Hagane is winning the standup battle so far. Thunder tries to clinch there but Hagane circles away.
It looked like Hagane wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Hagane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Thunder can do to turn this around? A swing and a miss from Hagane. Hagane pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hagane defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thunder. Hagane stuffs the takedown attempt from Thunder. Thunder gets slowly back to his feet. Hagane misses with a low kick as Thunder jumps back. Hagane throws a jab when Thunder was well out of range. Hagane looks to land a right hand but Thunder moved out of range. Nice takedown defense from Hagane. No joy for Thunder on that attempt. Ginga Hagane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Thunder. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hagane scores with a decent looking hook. Hagane throws a looping overhand right but Thunder ducks down to avoid it. Thunder closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Thunder breaks the clinch.
A big left from Hagane misses. Thunder scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Thunder in side control, just content to control the action for now. Hagane tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Thunder is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Thunder has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Bruno Thunder has got the better of the ground game so far. Hagane is trying to stand back up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thunder has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hagane's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hagane wants to get back to his feet. Thunder lands with a hammerfist to the side of Hagane's head. Thunder controlling the position well here. Hagane rolled but Thunder kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thunder working for the choke. Thunder looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Hagane taps!

It looks like Kevin Brockwell has been cut. Brockwell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Smith Jr cracks Brockwell with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smith Jr has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Brockwell to stand back up!
Brockwell is rocked! Brockwell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith Jr pinned against the cage. Smith Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Oh Brockwell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Smith Jr throws an overhand right that drops Brockwell like a sack of potatoes! Smith Jr dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
