The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scorpion connects with a body shot that sends Demon's belly button to the back. Scorpion lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Scorpion connects with a looping right hand.
Scorpion throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Demon. Scorpion pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Scorpion lands a big head kick that sends Demon tumbling to the mat! Scorpion takes a step backwards and waves Demon back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Demon is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Demon walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Scorpion! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buitenwesten looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Buitenwesten sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Buitenwesten swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Buitenwesten throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range. Buitenwesten drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
Jones is trying to break the clinch but Buitenwesten has him pressed against the cage. Jones is looking to break free of the clinch but Buitenwesten has double underhooks. Buitenwesten pushes Jones back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Buitenwesten goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Buitenwesten lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like John Jones has been cut. Buitenwesten comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Jones trying to control the position but instead, Buitenwesten has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jones into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buitenwesten lands an elbow that stopped Jones in his tracks for a moment.
That has opened up John Jones's cut even more. Nice elbow from Buitenwesten.
The cut above John Jones's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Buitenwesten scores with a shoulder strike.
John Jones's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buitenwesten lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Jones. Jones looks winded! Nice elbow from Buitenwesten.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Jones's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beattie is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Fanning misses with a takedown attempt - Beattie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Beattie misses with a double jab
and Fanning counters with a shoot takedown. Beattie fights it but they end up in guard. Fanning with a nice head shot there. Beattie is looking to cinch up a triangle. Fanning throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Beattie's body to avoid the submission. Beattie has instead reached around Fanning's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Beattie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Writer shoots in but no luck this time. Sertho unleashes a big counter combination but Writer bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Writer misses with a takedown attempt and Sertho counters with a series of strikes. Writer will be more careful next time no doubt. Writer fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JR Writer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Writer slips a straight right by Sertho. Writer misses with a takedown and Sertho counters with a one-two to the body. Sertho keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Writer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sertho doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Writer with a poor takedown and Sertho cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sertho throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Writer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Writer. Writer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Writer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Writer shoots in for a takedown but Sertho shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sertho pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sertho lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. JR Writer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Writer dives in for a single leg takedown but Sertho sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Sertho swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Writer is breathing heavily. Writer tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Writer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sertho's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sertho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sertho looking for a guillotine here but Writer defends easily.
Writer drops back looking for a leg! Sertho is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sertho manages to kick Writer off! Writer jumps back into Sertho's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sertho has his foot on Writer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Writer works his way back into a safe position though. Sertho tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sertho is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Writer is aware though and is defending well. Sertho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sertho is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Writer defends well. Writer pushing down on Sertho's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Writer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sertho is defending against the submission attempts here by Writer.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Writer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sertho doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Writer. Sertho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Writer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sertho looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Writer is trying for a kimura here. Sertho looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Writer wins by kimura!
