The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mihattovic shoots in and gets a takedown into Humans's guard.
Mihattovic stops Humans from standing up.
Mihattovic is working Humans over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Welsh comes into the arena with Lets Have A War blaring out of the sound system. Vicente uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hardwood.
Vicente dives in and grabs Hardwood's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hardwood pushes down on Vicente's head and hops out.
Hardwood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vicente.

Vicente drives through and clinches with Hardwood against the cage.
Vicente tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hardwood just stands there and leans against the cage.

Hardwood escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lance Hardwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Lance Hardwood will probably get the nod.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - De Silva screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

A very excited looking Junior De Silva rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Thompson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Yamada keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Thompson's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Winslow drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Winslow seems to have locked his on tight now - Borgas screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Winslow, as he picks up the win!
