The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NoMono stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've been told by NoMono's head coaches at Bonsai Club MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
NoMono looks to throw the jab but Ilmarinen is out of range.
NoMono scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ilmarinen throws a head kick that misses
and NoMono makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ilmarinen misses with a takedown
and NoMono counters with a lovely straight right hand!
NoMono is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ilmarinen.
NoMono's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ilmarinen under the eye.
Ilmarinen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ilmarinen shoots in for a double leg but NoMono sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Yumi NoMono has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asko Ilmarinen.
BOOM! NoMono lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ilmarinen. Ilmarinen tries to recover but NoMono is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ilmarinen lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
