The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tamad throws a looping overhand right but Little ducks down to avoid it. Little moves away from the strike by Tamad. No joy there for Tamad, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Little bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tamad's guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shimizu checks a leg kick. Shimizu doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Shimizu throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Cade takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Cade throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shimizu tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cade is in Shimizu's guard. Our spies down at at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS inform us that Shimizu has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cade is stalling in the full guard. Cade stops Shimizu from standing up. Cade landing some decent shots from guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cade accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cade throws a big right hand that misses. Cade throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cade wants to control from the top but Shimizu keeps moving.

Cade feints and then cracks Shimizu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shimizu down. Cade tests Shimizu's chin there with a solid looking shot. Shimizu digs a good body shot into Cade's ribs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shimizu lands a high kick!

Cade throws a leg kick and Shimizu counters with a body kick that stops Cade in his tracks momentarily. Shimizu takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Shimizu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shimizu takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Cade is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shimizu can do to turn this around? Cade moves out of range of the body kick from Shimizu.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Shimizu. Cade shrugs it off though. Shimizu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
