Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between CJ Lyons and Detroit Racer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; CJ Lyons! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Detroit Racer! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Racer clinches up with Lyons and pushes him back against the cage. Racer has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lyons clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Lyons (0) vs (4) Racer Lyons has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Racer is looking for a rear naked choke here but Lyons reverses the position brilliantly into Racer's guard!

Lyons trying to control but Racer is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lyons is fighting to break Racer's control of his arms but Racer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Racer can do anything to dispel that myth.

No, Racer has managed to get both his arms back between Lyons's legs - danger averted. Lyons wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Racer trying to control but Lyons is working from the bottom. Lyons has control of Racer's left arm, preventing Racer from doing any damage. Lyons is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Racer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Racer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Lyons pulls Racer in to control the position. Racer showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Racer being controlled here momentarily.

The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Timmermans pushes Edkins up against the cage in a clinch. We've been hearing reports that Edkins has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Timmermans lands a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edkins has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Timmermans should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Edkins has tightened it up now! Timmermans should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
