The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pretorios throws a right hand that Brads ducks under and follows up with a left that Brads also avoids with ease. Brads is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Brads misses with a leg kick. Pretorios moves into the clinch. Pretorios has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Brads uses from the top position. Pretorios keeping moving, preventing Brads from controlling successfully. Pretorios wants to stand up but Brads is controlling him. Brads preventing the sweep. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Lesnoor. No joy for Tyson on that attempt. And Lesnoor tries to counter it with a takedown but Tyson pushes his down on his head and steps out. No luck for Tyson with that takedown attempt. Tyson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Archie Tyson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tyson gets the takedown into side control. Tyson landing strikes. Lesnoor manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tyson's best efforts. Lesnoor is holding on to half guard well. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spicy gets caught flat footed, as Sandulescu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Sandulescu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Sandulescu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Spicy takes a swing at Sandulescu's ribcage but misses. Sandulescu shoots in and gets a takedown into Spicy's guard. Spicy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Spicy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sandulescu wants to control from the top but Spicy keeps moving. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Spicy controlling the position. Spicy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sandulescu trying to control but Spicy is working from the bottom.

Spicy is pulling down on Sandulescu's head to control his posture. Sandulescu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spicy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Spicy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Sandulescu pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Spicy is keeping the position for now. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Sandulescu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Spicy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
