The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reilly looks to land a left hand but Taparzo moved out of range nicely.
Taparzo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Reilly cracks Taparzo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Taparzo jabs Reilly right on the nose. Reilly blinks but takes it well.
Taparzo tries to clinch up.
Taparzo wants to clinch but Reilly slips to the side
and Reilly cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Taparzo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reilly defends it nicely.
Taparzo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Reilly lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Taparzo at a distance.
Taparzo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
It seemed like Reilly was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Reilly fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Reilly cracks Taparzo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Xenophobus missing with a left hand there. Mosby was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Xenophobus lands a nice shot to the body.
Xenophobus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mosby manages to avoid it.
Mosby wants to slow Xenophobus down by chopping away at his legs.

and Mosby counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Xenophobus!
Xenophobus felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Qasi throws a jab but it's blocked by McCracken.
McCracken appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We've been told by McCracken's head coaches at Team Meanor MMA™ that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
McCracken drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McCracken swings for the body but Qasi moves out of range.
Qasi has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McCracken is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Qasi drives through and clinches with McCracken against the cage.

McCracken tries a body shot but Qasi blocks it.

Qasi is fighting off a takedown attempt but McCracken is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Qasi to the mat. Qasi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Carlyle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Poli circles away quickly and effectively.
Carlyle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carlyle looks to land a combination but Poli avoids it well.

Poli darts in looking for a takedown but Carlyle gets double underhooks and turns Poli into the cage.
Poli looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Poli changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carlyle tries to avoid it but Poli manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carlyle to the ground. Carlyle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
