The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Disosiondars stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Disosiondars wants it to stay on the feet. Johnson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Disosiondars sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Disosiondars throws a counter combo. Johnson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johnson lands in his opponent's guard. Disosiondars wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment. Johnson works over Disosiondars with some ground and pound from guard. Johnson trying to control but Disosiondars is working from the bottom. Johnson prevents Disosiondars from getting back to his feet. Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Johnson wants to control from the top but Disosiondars keeps moving. Disosiondars wants to stand up but Johnson is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Disosiondars looking for a sweep. That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson trying to control but Disosiondars is working from the bottom. Disosiondars is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Disosiondars is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Disosiondars looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Johnson dives in for a single leg takedown but Disosiondars sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doug Johnson . That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Disosiondars counters with a straight right hand. Disosiondars connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Johnson 's hands. Velgar Disosiondars is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Disosiondars throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Johnson has his takedown stuffed and Disosiondars makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Johnson misses with a takedown and Disosiondars comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Johnson stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Disosiondars is on him like rabid pit bull! Johnson slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo Junior wants to clinch up but MacCain keeps it at a distance. MacCain throws a body shot but no joy. The fight stays on the outside here - Aldo Junior looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Aldo Junior wants to clinch. MacCain attempts a counter takedown but Aldo Junior avoids it well and moves away. MacCain fails with the takedown. Aldo Junior fails in his attempt to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aldo Junior moves in looking to clinch but MacCain pushes him off. MacCain tries to counter with a takedown but Aldo Junior is quick to defend against it. Aldo Junior clinches with his opponent.

Aldo Junior won't allow MacCain to sweep him here. Aldo Junior must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. MacCain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aldo Junior doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but MacCain is tightening it up a little... Aldo Junior has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Aldo Junior reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Aldo Junior taps out! Nice BJJ there by MacCain!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez slips under a jab. Barao cracks Martinez with an open hand slap. Renan Barao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martinez takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Martinez is looking to slow Barao down with leg kicks. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Martinez has eaten all the pies! A head kick misses from Martinez. Martinez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Barao! Barao is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Martinez off and has taken his back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barao is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Martinez knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Martinez for a finish. Martinez is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Barao gets his way!

Barao is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Martinez is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Martinez trying to control but Barao is working from the bottom. Barao working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Martinez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Martinez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Martinez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Barao. Martinez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Martinez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Barao to his feet. Martinez drives through with a takedown into Barao's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Martinez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Barao escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martinez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Barao keeping moving, preventing Martinez from controlling successfully. Barao has his foot on Martinez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Martinez works his way back into a safe position though. Martinez content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barao looking for a triangle here. Martinez is fighting it but it looks tight! Barao pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Martinez is tapping out - this one is all over!

Quinn fights it but they end up in guard. Derrick Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ged Quinn. Quinn seems comfortable defending it but Johnson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Quinn is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Quinn is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Johnson couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Derrick Johnson opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
