Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Face has chosen Tyga - Real Deal as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Angel Face told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Helio Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angel Face! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Face throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie. Gracie throws a head kick that misses and Face counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Gracie darts in looking for a takedown but Face gets double underhooks and turns Gracie into the cage. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Face! But no joy. Gracie with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Face to score with a decent uppercut. Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Face tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Face to the ground. Face escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Helio Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Face sneaks out the side door and pushes Gracie away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gracie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Face is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Face circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helio Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Face avoids the head kick by Gracie.
Face throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Gracie is breathing heavily. Face punishes Gracie's body with a nice straight punch. Face takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Gracie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd cheers as Face lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gracie doesn't seem phased though. Gracie shoots and misses and Face counters with a two punch combo. Face with a body punch. A glancing blow. Face fails to land with a series of punches.
Decent striking displayed by Face there. Gracie fails to land the takedown. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie misses with a left hand and Face counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Face counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gracie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Face counters with a straight right hand.
 Gracie is rocked! Gracie leaves his chin hanging out and Face seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Gracie crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rasmussen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hamidovich Saitiev shoots for a takedown but Rasmussen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Christian Rasmussen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hamidovich Saitiev throws the left hand but Rasmussen avoids the punch easily. Rasmussen throws a counter combo. Rasmussen lands a leg kick that knocks Hamidovich Saitiev off balance momentarily. Rasmussen throws a leg kick which misses Hamidovich Saitiev's front leg but catches the back leg as Hamidovich Saitiev tries to avoid it. Rasmussen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Hamidovich Saitiev has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rasmussen. A nice inside leg kick there by Rasmussen. That's going to slow Hamidovich Saitiev down. Hamidovich Saitiev throws a hook but Rasmussen avoids it easily.

Rasmussen is looking to get back to full guard here but Hamidovich Saitiev has managed to pass to side control instead.  Rasmussen is rocked! We've been hearing that Hamidovich Saitiev has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Oh Rasmussen is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Hamidovich Saitiev can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandov shoots in and bounces Kedorf off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Sandov throwing strikes from guard but Kedorf blocks nicely. Sandov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kedorf can do anything to dispel that myth. Sandov wants to pass the guard but Kedorf is keeping the position. Sandov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sandov throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sandov controls from within his opponent's guard. Sandov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kedorf for as long as he can get away with.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sandov passes Kedorf's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sandov performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Sandov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kedorf pushes Sandov off looking to stand but Sandov dives back in and keeps control.

Kedorf is pushing Sandov's head away, looking to escape. Sandov manages to hold on to the position though. Sandov misses with the ground and pound. Sandov is looking to take a break and control but Kedorf is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sandov controls the position. Kedorf prevents Sandov from improving position. Sandov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sandov tries to score with some ground and pound. Kedorf controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandov works to advance to full mount. Kedorf defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Sandov tries to control but Kedorf wriggling away. Kedorf is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Sandov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kedorf is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sandov slips a jab from Kedorf. Kedorf keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kedorf cracks a nice hook into Sandov's ribs. Kedorf misses with a hook. Kedorf throws a shot from downtown. Sandov moves away and avoids it. Sandov throwing a counter right hand but Kedorf manages to avoid it. A big right from Kedorf misses. Kedorf just misses with a punch to the body.
Sandov slips under a jab from Kedorf. Kedorf misses the body punch and Sandov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A big left from Kedorf misses. Sandov misses with a wild body shot. Kedorf stuffs the takedown attempt from Sandov. Sandov gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kedorf swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Sandov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kedorf manages to avoid it. Kedorf throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sandov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Sandov throws the left hand but Kedorf avoids the punch easily.

Kedorf lands a jab to the nose. A telegraphed right hand from Sandov misses the target. Kedorf throws a looping overhand right but Sandov ducks down to avoid it. Kedorf connects with a single shot there. Kedorf staying out of range there. Kedorf moves out of range of the strikes. Sandov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Horrible takedown attempt by Sandov or perhaps it was just good defense by Kedorf, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eugene Sandov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sandov feints a jab promting Kedorf to slip. Sandov then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kedorf slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Kedorf keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sandov. Sandov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sandov throws a lazy right hand but Kedorf sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kedorf with a nice cross. Kedorf misses with a body shot.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Sandov slips under a jab from Kedorf. Kedorf uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sandov.
Kedorf cracks Sandov with a good jab. Sandov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Sandov avoids the body shot from Kedorf.
Sandov takes a shot right to the bread basket. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sandov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kedorf defends well and Sandov ends up having to push Kedorf into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kedorf pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Barol Kedorf seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sandov looks to score with a jab to the body but Kedorf is just out of range. Sandov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kedorf scores with a jab.
 Sandov is rocked! Kedorf weaves into range and cracks Sandov right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Sandov goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Kedorf is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nube bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Machado's head backwards. Machado tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nube swivels and escapes. Machado moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Machado closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nube cracks Machado with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nube has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Machado to stand back up!
 Machado is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nube waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Machado. Machado raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Nube connects with a body shot that sends Machado's belly button to the back. Nube connects with a solid leg kick. Nube lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Nube closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Machado! Nube dives in looking to finish! Machado is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Davy Nube! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Davy Nube made sure he mentioned Revolution Clothing, along with how happy he was to win his fight.

Beach Bum dominated that round. That's time! Bum's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nice defenses there by Ford. Ford feints the counter takedown. Bum swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Bum scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Bum looks to land a combination but Ford avoids it well. Bum stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ford scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bum struggling a bit here. Martyn Ford has got the better of the ground game so far. Bum tries to buck Ford off but Ford is having none of it.

Bum looking for submissions off his back. My spies in Animal House inform me that Ford has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Bum tries to roll over but Ford keeps him under control.

Ford manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ford wants to control from the top but Bum keeps moving. Bum looking for a sweep. Not yet Bum, not yet.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Szczęsny uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drake.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schopenhauer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dum. Dum throws the left hand but Schopenhauer avoids the punch easily.
Dum clinches up with Schopenhauer and pushes him back against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Dum.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dum tries to get out of the position. Schopenhauer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Dum has hold of Schopenhauer's hands but Schopenhauer slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Dum avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Schopenhauer. Dum controlling the position for now.

Schopenhauer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dum doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schopenhauer. Schopenhauer looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Schopenhauer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dum does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Schopenhauer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dum does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dum is looking to control Schopenhauer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dum avoid being mounted? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Schopenhauer is looking for a kimura but Dum is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Schopenhauer to get the leverage. Schopenhauer wants to advance to full mount but Dum doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Dum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schopenhauer on the ground. Schopenhauer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dum works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dum throws a hook but Schopenhauer avoids it easily. Dum smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Dum misses with an uppercut. Schopenhauer saw that one coming. Schopenhauer changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Dum throws a jab but it's blocked by Schopenhauer. Schopenhauer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A decent looking cross lands there for Dum. Dum lands with an uppercut that bounces Schopenhauer off the cage and back into range. Dum lands a glancing blow to the side of Schopenhauer's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dum thows a left - swing and a miss! And Schopenhauer tries to counter it with a takedown but Dum pushes his down on his head and steps out. Dum lands a nice shot that snaps Schopenhauer's head back.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Dum throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Dum fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Dum takes a swing at Schopenhauer's ribcage but misses. Dum throws a body punch but Schopenhauer moves out of range. Schopenhauer with the counter takedown but Dum avoids it easily. A big right from Dum misses. Dum misses with an uppercut
so Schopenhauer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Schopenhauer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Schopenhauer working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Dum is looking for a sweep. Schopenhauer throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Schopenhauer is working to tighten his grip on Dum's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dum has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Schopenhauer is really squeezing tight and eventually Dum passes out! Schopenhauer breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Hellmuth Jr misses with an uppercut. Karelin saw that one coming. Hellmuth Jr throws out a loose jab but Karelin uses good head movement to avoid it. Karelin attempts a counter takedown but Hellmuth Jr avoids it well and moves away. Hellmuth Jr jabs Karelin right on the nose. Karelin blinks but takes it well. Karelin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hellmuth Jr to score with a decent uppercut.
 Jeez, Vitaly Karelin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Phil Hellmuth Jr! After the fight, Phil Hellmuth Jr was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
