Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brock King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenny Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliver is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tonight Is The Night - VGCW Version. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brock King Kong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lenny Oliver! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King Kong scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Oliver throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. No luck for Oliver with that takedown attempt. Oliver throws a low kick but it's checked well by King Kong. King Kong throws a one two combo.
King Kong moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Oliver looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A jab from Oliver misses. King Kong misses with a few strikes there.
Oliver tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A punch combination from King Kong misses. Oliver shoots and misses and Oliver takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Oliver misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Brock King Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lenny Oliver. Oliver scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Oliver sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. King Kong defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. King Kong is trying to maintain the position but Oliver is very close to passing his half guard. King Kong strikes from the bottom but Oliver uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Oliver has hold of King Kong's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! King Kong tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Oliver cranks the arm and King Kong screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from King Kong, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Psycho Vaughan! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaughan slips a jab from Browne. Vaughan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Vaughan shoots in looking for a takedown. Browne tries to sprawl out of it but Vaughan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Browne manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Browne blocks a head kick by Vaughan.
Vaughan misses the jab. Browne displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vaughan throws out the jab. Vaughan gets caught napping as Browne dives in and scores a takedown. Vaughan manages to retain guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Browne lands a couple of digs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vaughan is pulling down on Browne's head to control his posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vaughan trying to keep a closed guard but Browne is proving a slippery customer.

Browne looking to sit in guard and control but Vaughan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vaughan is fighting to break Browne's control of his arms but Browne is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vaughan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. He might have it! No, Browne has escaped the position, nice work there. Vaughan in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The ground and pound from Vaughan seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Browne dodges the ground and pound from Vaughan. Vaughan takes a swing at Browne's ribcage but misses. Browne closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vaughan to the mat! Vaughan manages to get full guard. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hobo cracks Zopyros with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Zopyros throws a body punch but Hobo moves out of range. Hobo throwing a counter right hand but Zopyros manages to avoid it. Zopyros looks to score with a jab to the body but Hobo is just out of range. Hobo cracks Zopyros with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Hobo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Zopyros on the side of the head. Hobo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Zopyros at a distance.

Hobo swings wildly with an uppercut but Zopyros uses good head movement to avoid it. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Zopyros. Zopyros pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Zopyros throws a looping overhand right but Hobo ducks down to avoid it. Zopyros throws a shot from downtown. Hobo moves away and avoids it. Hobo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Hobo blocks a jab. Hobo appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hobo, as that shot connected.
This has been an exciting period of action! Zopyros tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nice straight punches there by Hobo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hobo. Zopyros uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hobo. A clash of legs there as Hobo blocks the low kick. Hobo was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Zopyros falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Hobo to counter with a crisp jab. Hobo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Zopyros slips under a jab. Zopyros is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hobo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hobo stalks Zopyros and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zopyros's face. Zopyros staggers backwards, shaken. Zopyros ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Zopyros throws a solid leg kick but Hobo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Zopyros. Zopyros scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Zopyros lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Zopyros looks to land a combination but Hobo avoids it well. A cross from Hobo lands. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Diaz does no damage. Mauler closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Mauler seems to be working for a kimura but Diaz defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mauler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble!
