2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Soa Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ivan Kochegarov! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Chris Dean and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kochegarov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Silva works the jab nicely. Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Kochegarov, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kochegarov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily. Silva is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Soa Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Kochegarov. Kochegarov goes for a double leg but Silva avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Silva continues to drive forward. Kochegarov with a lazy takedown attempt and Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Silva with a body punch. A glancing blow. Silva scores with a nice strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kochegarov misses with a takedown and Silva counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kochegarov with a lazy takedown attempt and Silva connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd cheers as Silva lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kochegarov doesn't seem phased though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kochegarov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kochegarov looks winded! Kochegarov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kochegarov shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Kochegarov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Silva scores with the left hand. Kochegarov knows he should have avoided that one. Silva dips to his left and cracks Kochegarov with an uppercut! Kochegarov fails with the takedown and Silva counters with a straight right hand.
Kochegarov is rocked! Silva drops Kochegarov with a naaaaasty hook - Kochegarov is in real trouble here! Silva dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Soa Silva! During a confident post fight interview, Soa Silva thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krivapalov drops Garcia with a beautiful combination! Garcia stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Krivapalov is looking for the KO!

It looks like Jose Luis Garcia has been cut. Krivapalov throws the left hand but Garcia avoids the punch easily. Garcia drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Krivapalov defends it well. Garcia is still on wobbly legs! Can Krivapalov finish him? Garcia ducks under a wild hook from Krivapalov. As Krivapalov backs off Garcia throws a huge counter combo but Krivapalov manages to avoid it all. Krivapalov misses with an uppercut. Garcia saw that one coming. A swing and a miss from Krivapalov. Krivapalov stuffs the takedown attempt from Garcia. Garcia gets slowly back to his feet. Krivapalov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Krivapalov throws a big shot that misses. Garcia with the counter takedown but Krivapalov avoids it easily. Garcia seems to have recovered his senses. Garcia ducks under a wild hook from Krivapalov. Krivapalov misses with a hook. Garcia ducked under it nicely. Garcia keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Krivapalov. Garcia on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Krivapalov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Krivapalov looks to land a left hand but Garcia moved out of range nicely. Garcia darts in looking for a takedown but Krivapalov gets double underhooks and turns Garcia into the cage. Garcia defending well as Krivapalov loads up on a big left hand. Krivapalov lands with a big left! Garcia is wobbled badly! Krivapalov comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Garcia to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
