Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nikita Krivapalov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Soa Silva! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krivapalov misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely. Krivapalov throws an overhand right that lands on Silva's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot. A countering left hand to the body from Silva misses. Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Krivapalov moves away. Silva moves out of range as Krivapalov strikes. Krivapalov misses with an uppercut. Krivapalov lands a really nice looking cross but Silva seems unphased.
Krivapalov misses with a straight left. Silva now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Silva ducks under a wild hook from Krivapalov. Krivapalov misses with a two punch combination.
Krivapalov connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Silva's hands. Krivapalov throws a poor cross that misses
letting Silva counter with a right hand.
It looks like Nikita Krivapalov has been cut. Krivapalov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Silva counters with a stiff right hand. Krivapalov dodges the punch combination from Silva.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Krivapalov throws a hook but Silva avoids it easily. Silva misses with a straight right. Krivapalov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Krivapalov to score with a decent uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krivapalov missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Krivapalov lands a lovely overhand right. Krivapalov throws an off balance right hand
and Silva counters with a huge left! Krivapalov is in big trouble! He's backing up but Silva isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Krivapalov from any more damage. A dominating finish by Silva!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Soa Silva! Soa Silva tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
