The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Em closes the distance but Sius moves to the side
and Sius counters with a one-two to the body.
Sius circles away from the clinch attempt.
As Em backs off Sius throws a huge counter combo but Em manages to avoid it all.

Em closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Em lands in his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Em is looking to work some ground and pound but Sius has wrist control.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Sius manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Sius is pressed up against the cage. Em has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sius down to the mat. Sius avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Em shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sius as he jumps to the side.

Em shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sius but Sius pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Johnson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ilmarinen is really squeezing tight and eventually Johnson passes out! Ilmarinen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Koronowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Sylvanas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koronowski comes into the arena with Mig - Wymarzona blaring out of the sound system. Sylvanas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Woah Woah Woah kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Koronowski has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Mariusz Koronowski had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Mariusz Koronowski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Shore will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Speed shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shore's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shore is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
