The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GoldenEyes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burgundy tries to avoid it but GoldenEyes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burgundy to the ground. Burgundy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Burgundy moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt GoldenEyes! Burgundy continues to tee off on GoldenEyes, landing with a left and a right! Burgundy connects with a right hand that leaves GoldenEyes sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Burgundy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ron Burgundy!
Ron Burgundy gave a mention to Spartan Nutrition in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
Perrin GoldenEyes was interviewed post fight and said 'The Canadian population has elected a Liberal government, a result we accept without hesitation. Rush clinches up with Kumari and pushes him back against the cage.
Kumari is trying to pull guard but Rush turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kumari tries to pull guard but Rush won't allow it.
Kumari pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Rush lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kumari looks winded!
Kumari tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rush avoids it.
Kumari tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rush just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kevin Rush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bantoo Kumari.

Rush breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rush ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Rush feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kumari sprawling to the canvas! Kumari rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rush finish him?!

Kumari is rocked!

It looks like Bantoo Kumari has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rush lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kumari will feel that in the morning.

Oooooh!!! Lodbrok has knocked Face down with a huge combo! Lodbrok steps away and waves a wobbly Face back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lodbrok darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Face's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Lodbrok before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
