Reid throws a combination that misses and Diaz counters with a takedown into side control. Diaz scoring with punches and elbows. Diaz scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Reid to see if he's OK. Diaz working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reid takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Diaz is working to tighten his grip on Reid's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Reid has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Diaz is really squeezing tight and eventually Reid passes out! Diaz breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Power. Reealopubo does a little dance to reset his feet. Power shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reealopubo sprawls well. Reealopubo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Power gets slowly back to his feet. Reealopubo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Power appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Power looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Reealopubo! Power throwing shots but missing, from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Power has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Reealopubo! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Power punching from mount but Reealopubo doing a good job of avoiding damage. Reealopubo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Power. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Power looking to finish Reealopubo with some ground and pound. This is bad for Reealopubo! Power is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Reealopubo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bawls rushes Shaw and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bawls is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shaw throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bawls blocks it with crossed arms. Bawls has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Shaw clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Shaw is trying to shake Bawls off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Bawls won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Bawls shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Shaw eats them both and turns towards Bawls to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Deait Shaw has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bawls connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Shaw throws a hook to the side of Bawls's head but Bawls sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Shaw throws a lazy uppercut
and Bawls counters with a three punch combo that has Shaw backing up. Shaw nods at Bawls to acknowledge the strikes. Bawls drives through and clinches with Shaw against the cage.

Bawls gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bawls is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Shaw has managed to free his arm - good work. Bawls seems to be working for a kimura but Shaw defends the submission attempt. Bawls wants to free his trapped foot but Shaw is holding on for dear life with his legs. Bawls content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Bawls looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shaw with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Oh, Shaw has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Bawls is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Shaw off and has taken his back!
