The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a right and a left that both miss.
James is looking to clinch.

Hoffmann feints and as James raises his hands in defense, Hoffmann changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
James looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hoffmann puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hoffmann stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hoffmann wants it to stay on the feet.

Elvis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Elvis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Elvis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Arabi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Arabi tries to get to full guard but Elvis has control of the leg.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Let's hope that Elvis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Elvis decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Elvis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Arabi is fending him off so far but Elvis persists. Nope, Arabi circles away and we're back to standing.

Elvis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Elvis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Arabi is desperately trying to improve his position but Elvis has a good base and remains in mount.

Arabi sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Jackson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Andreas defends it easily.

Andreas drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Andreas off! Andreas jumps back into Jackson's guard.

Pickens takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hanson has Pickens pressed against the ropes, preventing Pickens from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Pickens escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pickens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hanson scores with a body shot.
Pickens is breathing heavily.
Hanson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hanson tries to clinch up but Pickens circles away and keeps his distance.
Pickens takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Britten Pickens's cut is getting worse.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hanson rushes Pickens with punches - Pickens moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Pickens goes down! Hanson follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Dowd bounces back off the ropes towards Logan, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Logan lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Logan celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
