1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glenn Maxwell! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maxwell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Catos with a lazy takedown attempt and Maxwell counters with a nice leg kick. Catos closes the distance and clinches up with Maxwell, looking for a takedown. Catos pushes Maxwell against the cage but Maxwell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Catos with a poor takedown and Maxwell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scotty Catos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maxwell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Catos closes the distance and clinches up with Maxwell, looking for a takedown. Catos pushes Maxwell against the cage but Maxwell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Catos with a poor takedown and Maxwell counters with a nice leg kick. Maxwell throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Catos is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A kick lands to the mid section there for Maxwell. Maxwell scores with a head kick. Catos tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Scotty Catos has been cut. Maxwell scores with a spinning back kick! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Catos shoots in but no luck this time.

Maxwell throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Catos shoots in looking for a takedown. Maxwell tries to sprawl out of it but Catos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maxwell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Catos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Maxwell counters with a nice low kick that buckles Catos's knee momentarily. Maxwell throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Maxwell lands a front kick. A head kick from Maxwell lands but Catos takes it in his stride.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maxwell lands a brutal head kick. Catos looks out on his feet and Maxwell throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

King Of Fists stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and King Of Fists wants it to stay on the feet. Raoh King Of Fists has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Thunder. Thunder tries to clinch and King Of Fists counters with a crisp one two that drops Thunder! King Of Fists thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Thunder to his feet! Thunder is in big trouble! Thunder throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around King Of Fists 's waist but King Of Fists gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thunder off to one side. Thunder tries to close the distance and clinch up but King Of Fists swats him away and circles back towards the center. Thunder fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. King Of Fists cracks Thunder with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Thunder's hands are dropping dangerously low here and King Of Fists connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thunder scrambles back to his feet.

He thinks about going to the ground but Thunder looks back up at him and smiles so King Of Fists waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Closov throws out the jab. It seemed like Thomas was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Thomas throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Closov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Thomas has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Closov is landing a low percentage of strikes. Closov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thomas swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Oooooh!!! Closov has knocked Thomas down with a huge combo! Closov steps away and waves a wobbly Thomas back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Closov works Thomas 's body with a nice hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Closov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thomas circles away quickly and effectively. Closov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Closov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thomas . Thomas throws a sloppy head kick and Closov moves out of range easily. Thomas throws a sloppy head kick and Closov moves out of range easily. A little feinted left hand from Closov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Closov digs a good body shot into Thomas 's ribs.
