Kovalev rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thorsen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Thrillstompers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Thrillstompers's legs - danger averted.

Thrillstompers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva lands a couple of elbows.
Silva wants to control from the top but Thrillstompers keeps moving.
Thrillstompers has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle.
Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Silva pushes down on Thrillstompers's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Thrillstompers on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Silva is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thrillstompers sees it coming and defends easily.
Thrillstompers has hold of Silva's hands but Silva slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Silva seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Silva working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Silva has control of Thrillstompers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Thrillstompers regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Silva cracks Thrillstompers's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Thrillstompers slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Silva can do further damage! This one is done, son!
