The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones looks to land a left hand but Murdock moved out of range nicely.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Murdock tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Murdock manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Murdock sprawls well. Murdock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.

He turns his back on Murdock, trying to create some distance but Murdock rushes him, striking wildly and Jones goes down! The referee tackles Murdock into the cage to end the fight! Murdock is one violent man!

Boson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Selfie Lord.
