The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Boxer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boxer sets himself, and Westbrook steps forward looking for the clinch! Boxer avoids it this time.
Westbrook thows a left - swing and a miss!

Westbrook drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Boxer is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Westbrook dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here as Westbrook stalls from top position.
Westbrook is working Boxer over with some ground and pound from side control.

Despite the aggression on Smith's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Lesnar is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Smith.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith sends Lesnar crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Smith is motioning to the referee to let Lesnar up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henrique Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is For Whom The Bell Tolls. Tavares is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Devour the Day - Get Out of My Way. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Centura lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've been hearing good reports from Wacker's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
