I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Igz Kincaid was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kandle misses with a hook. Kincaid unleashes a big counter combination but Kandle bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Kandle misses with a few strikes there.
Kincaid is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Kandle throws a right hand that Kincaid ducks under and follows up with a left that Kincaid also avoids with ease. Kandle looks to land a combination. Kincaid sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Kincaid slips a jab and a cross from Kandle.
Kandle tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kincaid lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Kandle scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kandle lands with a straight right. Kincaid didn't see that one coming.

Kincaid is trying to pull guard but Kandle turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kandle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kandle is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kincaid. Kincaid is looking for the big counter here. Kincaid ducks under a wild hook from Kandle. Kincaid unleashes a big counter combination but Kandle bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Kandle swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Kandle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A punch combination from Kandle misses. As Kandle backs off Kincaid throws a huge counter combo but Kandle manages to avoid it all. Kandle throws a combination that misses and Kincaid counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Kincaid looking to finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brigante dodges the punch combination from Moutiniho.
Brigante shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Moutiniho wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Brigante manages to pass to side control. Brigante controlling the pace. Brigante throwing shots but Moutiniho is blocking nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brigante with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Moutiniho looks like he's trying to stand up.

Brigante is thwarting Moutiniho's attempts to control the position. Moutiniho is staying active underneath Brigante, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Brigante gets a takedown into half guard. Brigante is stalling here. Moutiniho is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Brigante seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Moutiniho has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Moutiniho in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Moutiniho wants to control but Brigante is keeping him busy. Moutiniho decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Moutiniho or perhaps it was just good defense by Brigante, which made it look bad. Moutiniho throws a chopping leg kick but Brigante manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Moutiniho is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Brigante throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Moutiniho throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Moutiniho shoots in for a double leg but Brigante sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Brigante dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Moutiniho. That did some damage! Moutiniho misses with a few strikes there.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Moutiniho enables Brigante to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Moutiniho manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Moutiniho manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brigante is pushing Moutiniho up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brigante has clasped his hands together around Moutiniho's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Brigante is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Moutiniho knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Brigante throws a strike aimed at the side of Moutiniho's head but Moutiniho avoids it well. Moutiniho takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moutiniho is trying to get back to half guard. Brigante looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Joao Moutiniho will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

and Brigante counters by moving into the clinch. Brigante blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Brigante has Moutiniho pressed against the cage, preventing Moutiniho from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Moutiniho tries to pull guard but Brigante holds him up against the cage and eventually Moutiniho drops back down to his feet.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Brigante takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Brigante pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Joao Moutiniho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brigante shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moutiniho's guard. Brigante slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Brigante is putting a hurting on Moutiniho here, landing some big shots from side control. Brigante is looking to take a break and control but Moutiniho is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Moutiniho trying to remain calm as Brigante controls from the top position. Brigante in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. You can see the frustration on Moutiniho's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. That's two minutes gone in the round. Moutiniho is not content to let Brigante control the position. Brigante decides to stand back up. Brigante steps back and let's Moutiniho get back to his feet. Brigante shoots in and gets a takedown into Moutiniho's guard. Brigante tries to free his leg and advance position but Moutiniho is retaining full guard. Brigante prevents Moutiniho from getting back to his feet. We've been hearing good reports from Brigante's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Moutiniho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brigante. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Moutiniho had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brigante defends it easily. Brigante controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moutiniho looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Brigante passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ground and pound from Brigante. Moutiniho is staying active underneath Brigante, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Brigante sitting and controlling from the half guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Moutiniho gets full guard. Moutiniho wants to sweep here but Brigante controlling him for the moment. Moutiniho is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Moutiniho keeping moving, preventing Brigante from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No joy there for Moutiniho, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Moutiniho will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Brigante is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Moutiniho can do to turn this around? Moutiniho is positioning himself well to prevent Brigante advancing to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lennon cracks the inside of Kunz's front leg. Lennon avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lennon misses with an uppercut. Kunz saw that one coming. Lennon ducks under a wild hook from Kunz. Lennon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lennon - that will leave a mark!
Kunz takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Can Lennon finish him? Kunz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lennon. Lennon swings for the body but Kunz moves out of range.

Lennon feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kunz sprawling to the canvas! Kunz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Lennon finish him?!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice inside leg kick there by Lennon. That's going to slow Kunz down. Kunz looks up at the clock. Bad move! Lennon lands a right hand from hell, dropping Kunz. Lennon pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Lennon! John Lennon tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Malingo has time to react.
It looks like Eddie Malingo has been cut. Nice defenses there by Malingo. Malingo lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Malingo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Allen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Malingo on his heels. He'll look to pass Malingo's guard now, I'm sure. Our spies down at at [LOD]Berlin Giants inform us that Malingo has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Malingo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Malingo trying to keep a closed guard but Allen is proving a slippery customer.

He's got his arms around Tariaksuq's waist but Tariaksuq gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side. Tariaksuq lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Carter lands with a right hand. Carter connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tariaksuq's hands. Tariaksuq swings away with a leg kick that misses. Carter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Carter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carter cracks Tariaksuq with an elbow. That is naaassty. Carter lands some shots froms side control.

Tariaksuq throws a quick counter head kick but Carter was just out of range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tariaksuq throws a sloppy head kick and Carter counters with a nice uppercut. Tariaksuq wants to slow Carter down by chopping away at his legs. Carter cracks Tariaksuq with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Carter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Carter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Aldo's coach down at Bruize Brothaz was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Aldo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Metso shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Aldo counters with a nice uppercut. Aldo's corner calls for a 1-2. Aldo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Metso looks for a takedown but Aldo sprawls well. Aldo appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ukko Metso. That's going to take a lot out of him. Metso bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Metso prevents Aldo from escaping the position. Jung escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jung takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Jung fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pain manages to avoid it. Pain lands a nice looking body shot.
Good shot there by Pain. Pain uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jung. Pain fails with a takedown attempt. Pain has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jung is landing a low percentage of strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jung clinches up with Pain and pushes him back against the cage. Pain blocking some punches.
Pain is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real. Jung is struggling to control the position. A head punch on the inside from Jung fails to land.

And Pain tries to counter it with a takedown but Jung pushes his down on his head and steps out. Pain ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Pain has Jung up against the cage in a clinch.

Jung's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jung can't find room to land a body shot as Pain controls the action.
Pain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Royal Pain will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jung's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Pain fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Pain swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jung moves out of range of the strikes. Jung throws a hook but Pain avoids it easily. Pain scores with a jab. Jung slips a jab from Pain. Pain shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jung defends it nicely. Pain connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Jung uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pain.
Jung walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Royal Pain seems to be getting the better of the standup. Pain darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Pain wants to control but Jung is keeping him busy. Pain looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jung tries to get to full guard but Pain has control of the leg. Pain is looking to pass Jung's guard but actually Jung recovers to full guard. Jung managing to control the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jung looking for a guillotine here but Pain defends easily.
Jung knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pain on the ground. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pain accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jung keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully. Pain is pushing down on Jung's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jung is fighting to maintain full guard but Pain has managed to sneak the leg through. Pain is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Pain is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jung defends it well. Jung is trying to maintain the position but Pain is very close to passing his half guard. Pain trying to control from half guard but Jung is working away. Pain is trying to work for a kimura but Jung is defending well.
Jung slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Pain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jung is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pain is looking to pass into half guard but Jung pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jung is in guard. Jung wants to control from the top but Pain keeps moving. Pain is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jung defends it easily. Pain looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jung tries to free his leg and advance position but Pain is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Royal Pain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

The crowd cheers as Jung lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pain doesn't seem phased though. Jung is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Pain's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Nice takedown defense from Jung. No joy for Pain on that attempt. Pain shoots in and drives through. Jung sprawls well. Jung stuffs the takedown attempt from Pain. Pain gets slowly back to his feet. Pain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pain steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jung. A little jabbing left from Pain on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Jung walks into a straight right hand from Pain. Pain doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jung counters by clinching up. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jung tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Jung can't find room to land a body shot as Pain controls the action.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain tries to work over Jung's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Jung leaning his opponent against the cage. Jung looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Jung has Pain pressed against the cage, preventing Pain from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Pain doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pain tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jung breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hop Sing Jung has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pain tries to clinch but Jung is having none of it. Pain avoids the body shot from Jung.

He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jung gets caught napping as Pain dives in and scores a takedown. Jung manages to retain guard. Jung trying to keep a closed guard but Pain is proving a slippery customer.
Jung working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Royal Pain is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Royal Pain has got the better of the ground game so far. Pain avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hop Sing Jung. I think Pain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
